Celibate for life....IS IT POSSIBLE?

Hi everybody, as everyone knows iv never had a girlfriend or sex in my entire life, I just wanted to know, how can I deal with the curiosity and desires that come from a celibate life..... should I try to find a woman, or should I fight my feelings??? Or should I get Prescription drugs to kill my sex drive??? Any advice???

Morning, whoa there @jonniey, that is far too drastic As a great friend on here said in a post about me, I have someone now, but it took a while. I was on my own for over 10 years because I wanted to bring up my young child safely and to focus on her.
I am 58, so not a thirty something anymore, even though I don't feel it and have not changed in decades.
You know when you want and need something, often you can't find it because yo are so desperate to get it and it's no where or not the right thing ie, colour or size, then one day you pass by a shop window or someone makes a comment and bingo, there is it.
It's about trying to being positive ( which can be hard at times, as I wanted to give up so many times and I thought it would never, ever happen) but it has. If your mind is full of negativity, your body and your outlook will show this and that's a no, no.

I'm better looking than alot of guys who get girls, but I never approach girls, I hate when they make excuses so I stay far away staring and wishing....and I'm very negative and depressed because of diabetes..... Even before that I always saw DOOM and GLOOM In life.... From the day I realized I was on earth. Negativity is my comfort zone, it's all iv ever known and my mind ALWAYS tells me I can't.....and to make things worse I'm a poor guy who can't Even afford to take a girl out. But I don't believe in "be patient you'll find a woman" because it will never happen. Many girls told me I am cute and wanted me but I was always sceptical. And perhaps picky but now it's just a desert out here haven't even kissed a girl in year's.

I know it's difficult, but you need to try and throw off the Doom and Gloom: whether you realise it or not, I am prepared to bet that you're giving off unconscious signals to potential girlfriends and that may be one of the things that puts them off. If girls have told you that you're cute, and they want you, then maybe you should try suspending your cynicism, and believing them? Not every girl is after your wallet and some find men who ostentatiously throw money around, a positive turn-off.

You're probably tired of hearing people on here say that you have to give it time, and one day you will meet someone, but it's true. However, if you spend your life thinking that no girl likes and/or fancies you, then they won't. You need to get out there - classes, church, volunteering, whatever else takes your fancy - and meet some girls. You have to be proactive, they won't necessarily come to you.

Celibacy may sound like a solution but - trust me on this - it isn't, or it would have gained more supporters over the years .

Now go out, and find that special somebody: she's out there somewhere

Get out there and mingle. Hit some clubs, join some local activity groups, or if you prefer, join some dating sites, use social apps, friend finder apps..etc

There's someone out there for everyone. If you think negative, you will feel negative, and you will attract negativity.

You must teach yourself positive thinking.

I think this statement answers your question on whether or not to be medicated.

Everyone is fearful of rejection, everyone, so your not alone there...

It's natural and healthy to have a sex drive and you should take advantage while its still relatively high....

I've been married 8 years or so but if I was single right now I would be using the dating sites online I think and there are different ones for different needs of you know what I mean....
