ceylon cinnamon for type 2 diabetes

My facebook feed has been full of fake accounts - ie sockpuppets pretending they're real people - advertising this stuff today. It just underlines my resolve never to take anything I read on facebook in any way seriously.

I can't see how this stuff would work. It sounds to me like another one in the long line of things that promise to reduce your blood glucose, but without saying exactly how. Suppose it did work - wouldn't you think the pharma companies would be all over it long ago?

I too am getting multiple ads for this supplement on my Facebook feed. 7200mg is a massive dose of cinnamon to be taking daily and could be unsafe. I have found that most of these cinnamon supplements are manufactured in china and I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.
