Ceylon Cinnamon 7200mg Equivalent with MCT Oil

My facebook feed has been full of fake accounts - ie sockpuppets pretending they're real people - advertising this stuff today. It just underlines my resolve never to take anything I read on facebook in any way seriously.

I can't see how this stuff would work. It sounds to me like another one in the long line of things that promise to reduce your blood glucose, but without saying exactly how. Suppose it did work - wouldn't you think the pharma companies would be all over it long ago?

I too am getting multiple ads for this supplement on my Facebook feed. 7200mg is a massive dose of cinnamon to be taking daily and could be unsafe. I have found that most of these cinnamon supplements are manufactured in china and I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

Here is a scientific study on Ceylon cinnamon.

Here is a scientific study on Ceylon cinnamon.

Greetings !
On a total of only 41 individuals split into three groups? With no blinding? With no control of what else they ate? Not all that scientific.

Google will show there are lots of similar published papers claiming the same thing. And many others claiming the reverse. The issue the OP asked about is a particular manufactured product which is not the thing being tested in the study referenced.

It really doesn't matter to me whether people want to take cinnamon or not (I don't), but I do get a bit annoyed at the exploitation of illness.
