I think that depends on personal circumstances. As a T1 I've been having annual flu jabs since my mid twenties and am grateful for it.I wouldn’t have that or a flu jab, there’s just no need for it.
I’ve had flu once in my life & I was extremely ill & that was in my 20s, I always get the flu jab, never want to go through that again. People think flu is like a bad cold and those who say I’ve got flu probably just have a bad cold. Flu can be a killer even for the fit & healthyI wouldn’t have that or a flu jab, there’s just no need for it.
Exactly! When my son was a teenager he had flu over Christmas. He didn't open his presents until January.A lot of people say “I’ve got the flu “ the best way to know if you’ve got the flu is to be in bed saying I’ve got the flu if someone was to put a million pound at the end of your bed and says if you can get out of your bed and touch that money you can have it ! If you can touch the money you don’t have the flu. Flu is an absolute killer the last flu pandemic killed hundreds of thousands far more than covid ,
Yes, being on immunosuppressants I am given both a flu and a covid jab twice a year. Having been given 12 years I wasn't expecting, why would I risk not having them!Do they actually do anything for COVID anymore other than when your an in patient
The government advisers in the U.K. decided that only people 75 + could have a Covid vaccine. The problem is they don’t seem to have advertised this fact. It’s been chaos at many pharmacies and some GP surgeries. When I tried to book mine I was told I was too young . I am 73. Previously diabetes was classed as vulnerable, apparently not any more.I think that depends on personal circumstances. As a T1 I've been having annual flu jabs since my mid twenties and am grateful for it.
I guess covid is still a bit of a new beast. I'm in New Zealand where covid jabs are still offered so I'll probably have a booster next time I travel to visit immunocompromised relatives. (My dad is 95).
Apparently it was the governments official advisors who made that decision. There’s been chaos in pharmacies where people have booked a Covid jab then are turned away when they get there. We can get them privately but they can be quite expensive. Was told the same unless you are over 75 are immunosuppressant or in a care home you do not qualify, blame the government she said
