Anyone else experiencing delays in test results being put online?

Had my 6 monthly HbA1c and Lipid panel blood taken on 10 Dec.. still no results.

They are usually there within a couple of days...

Maybe the doc’s holding them hostage because s/he really wants to have that conversation about cholesterol :hilarious:

Seriously, haven’t heard of any delays.

I had bloods done earlier this month (iron and FBC following my battle with a kidney stone), and the results appeared two days later. Have you tried chasing them up with your surgery?

No news probably good news?
My recent checks turned around in normal time but the NHS failed to transfer to my medical records so I could look at them myself.
And curiously they didn't do lipids so I can't even have fun refusing statination again.

My full blood count took a week, probably not much difference. I have to have another repeat in 2 weeks time as still showing some blood cell issues, have to see if that comes back in a similar time

For the last few months I've had bloods done virtually monthly. For the last 3 or 4 months it has been almost exactly 7 days from drawing the bloods to results online.

To be fair, my old GP (who ran away from me.....) used to review results and publish them asap - usually within 36 hours. I had put the delays down to a different approach by another member of staff + the pandemic, but I would have thought that would have been a localised thing.

For my last lot, the 7 days falls tomorrow, so not long to wait and see what transpires.

Twelve days is a long time in your case. I hope they're published soon.

Will try them tomorrow.. last time I was number 27 in the queue though...

Do you not have e consult ? It’s the quickest way to get results at my surgery. Type out in morning whilst sat in bed, all dealt with by close of play. No hanging on phones. A win win!

No problems here at all in East Lancs. Early December I had my usual blood draw on a Friday morning. Results were on Patient Access on the Saturday. I then had another blood draw for B12 and folate as instructed by GP. Results were up next day. The NHS app isn't showing them though.

The nurse did tell me that our normal lab at Blackburn Infirmary were sending some over to Preston Hospital for testing, presumably because of a build up.

No problems here in France, the nurse comes to my house in the morning and I get the results by 6 pm the same day, I am having them done every 2 weeks at the moment because of a change of treatment for my arthritis

Allegedly the "doctor" hadn't authorised them for uploading.. no idea why so asked the receptionist to tell him to pull his finger out or the irate PPG member would be on his case.
See if that has any effect.

If my surgery says that, it just means a dr/nurse hasn't checked them to see if they need to discuss anything with you/ask for a repeat blood test etc. They're not uploaded until that's done. At the moment it's because the surgery staff are doing Covid jabs, so mine are taking longer to be uploaded.

Yes, this happens to me too. In the past I have had some tests uploaded whilst others weren't uploaded until a doctor had spoken to me. Same with hubby. Annoying, as I like to prepare what I am going to say to the doc in advance.

Got my full blood panel done last week and I was contacted by text the following day, an e-mail to make an appointment, then, my dsn did the usual and other tests including a memory or dope test, and passed. Had a telephone consult within a day of the e appointment request.
So, wether it's me or my medical and mental health history, but I don't have a problem with my surgery, my neurologist or my specialist endocrinologist, who are all there for me.

Finally results were uploaded today.

HBa1c 30.1 (4.9%)
bit higher than I would like but FBG has been going up recently.. I think due to poor sleep or at least waking up too early.

My threat obviously worked.. !

Well done bulkbiker. Your HDL and Trigs have improved even if your HbA1c went up a little bit
