Fasting Blood Sugar this morning + yesterday's food AND physical activity

Hope you’re feeling better today & can have something other than huel
Amazing how you’re still exercising, but I suppose it takes your mind of it,
It’s improving your FBG so it’s not all bad, can’t believe having an extra protein shake at bedtime has got me mostly into the 5’s club
Trainer told me to try cassien protein powder at night as it’s slow release so going to try that & see if it makes any difference

L: Huel Black chocolate, Protein pudding
D: Tandoori roast chicken breast, green salad, avocado (not enjoyable to eat, long slow process as can't open mouth enough yet, especially trying to eat salad leaves, much better than yesterday though, should be even better by the weekend)

So cool that you're FBGs are in the mostly in the 5s now. Fantastic! Well deserved!
It'll be interesting to see if casein makes a difference too.

Learnt my lesson after trying to eat the chicken and salad yesterday .. need to give it some time. Huel only today :)
Thanks very much for the supportive messages yesterday, you're right about the upsides. FBGs are better, macros are more controlled. The body is not going to lose any more weight though I think as my non exercise activity has gone down while I have this dental recovery thing going on. Also I am at the point where my body does not want to lose more I think. I'd be perfectly OK with these FBGs so that's cool. I am definitely less carb tolerant than before I became T2, but that's ok .. will make the best of it and keep healthy.

Hope your mouth has been a bit better today, have you tried heating the huel up or having some soup?
At least you’re still exercising which can’t be easy
Really good workout at the gym this morning, trainer was there so every rep was perfect
It was someone’s 44th birthday today so he was doing 440 burpees, what a nutter
Both of us exercise & eat healthy but your on shakes & pain killers & I’m sniffing menthol crystals in hot water & spraying throat spray all day & coughing all night, don’t feel very healthy at the minute
Micellar cassien ordered & should be here this week, don’t know it it will make any difference but anything is worth a try

Man, sounds like that's a bad cold though! I hope it gets better soon. You still testing negative? Be kind to yourself.
I think both of us have a similar mentality. "If I can still move, it means I can still workout." Probably not the best way to look at things. I'm fully aware that I am just as bad, I'll tell other people they need to take the foot off the gas when they are unwell. But I never tell myself until the body says "NO! What's the matter with you? I can barely move! We're not being chased by a sabre toothed tiger ***! Have a flippin day off will ya?""

I don't know how some people do those very high rep burpee workouts without just getting really bored half way through. Impressive in its own way just for that I think. Dammed good for the body too. Hits everything to some degree. Total body strength and cardio.

Yeah .. the workouts totally get rid of the pain for me. Better than paracetamol and ibuprofen. I am surprised at how persistent the pain is. I had 2 teeth taken out, a wisdom tooth and the one next to it. The wisdom tooth went on a growth spurt and fractured the tooth next to it! LOL Really going to be delighted when I can eat properly again. I'm dreaming of steak, broccoli, spinach sautéed in butter with garlic... mmmm

Followed by a cheese board LOL!! With some low carb bread!

Mouth still not great today .. going to call the dentist just in case there's an infection or something. Brushing teeth this AM was agony. Can't open mouth to wide enough to put a proper amount of food in there. Left side of face still looks swollen.
It was removed on the 5th, today is the 10th. Should it be this bad? I generally have a high tolerance for pain, so I'm suspicious that all is not good. I'll give it one more day and see how it goes.

Wow to FBG & workout
You need a blender for the soup & protein powders, they taste more like milkshakes then
Been & got some cough medicine on way to work & can’t open it
New protein powder on its way, hopefully it’ll be today, friend with the Hermes lady & she picks up 30 seconds from work so she’ll probably drop it off here
Daughter should be sorting treadmill out today, found 3 new ones & she’s going to pick for me, so should have one next week

That protein powder sounds awful!!
I think I'll be able to handle more solid food today. Able to open mouth a bit wider. Spoke to dentist, he said the wisdom tooth was totally sideways, so it has left a much more significant hole on extraction. If it's still not significantly better by Monday I should go in. I'm going to try that Thai soup today.

Going for a cooked lunch today. Small pieces of food but better than more shakes. Though they have been a life saver these last few days. I have to say, the Huel Black is nutritionally really well balanced, but you do have to add your own flavour enhancers to make it more enjoyable. Without them it is just really bland and gets boring. But if anyone ever asks you if they're worth a go because they want an easy way to track exactly what macros they're consuming while getting all the essential micros, I'd say they're pretty good. If I wasn't on statins I think my FBGs might be in the 4s some days on Huel.
 
In the 5’s is great, 4’s are a bit low

Just had a lovely lunch of Thai coconut soup, garlic, ginger, red chillies, Thai green curry paste, broccoli, bok choi, coriander, coconut cream, tuna, a little sweetcorn. Delish!
