You track your protein intake or just using the extra to feel fuller longer.

I was a Huel BE user in my early diagnosis days, but I could never get past the taste no matter what I did was always a chore to drink it I found rather than enjoying my meal.

Just take the extra to feel fuller for longer. Always make sure I get at least 2 grams per kilo bodyweight, I find it helps keep the blood glucose levels under control too. Plus I just get really busy. I have to add stuff to make it palatable, cocoa powder, vanilla, nuts, food flavourings (orange or vanilla), some artificial sweeteners (I know from experience which ones don't alter my blood glucose). But yes on its own .. yuck!

Yeah I'll take that for a 5 hour fasting window was lower than I expected.

0% Spiced Rum and Coke Zero prevented any large mistakes being made at 2am
Spiced rum and coke zero .. that's my go to tipple when socialising too. Don't do it often but find in moderation it doesn't lead to high FBG the next day. Liver dials back on gluconeogenesis and focuses on dealing with metabolising alcohol. So as long as you keep the carbs consumed in check the blood glucose stays pretty good.

I very rarely have alcohol too .. literally one or two special special occasions a year - and even then sparingly, We're talking one or two drinks max .. then onto the coke zeros on their own. Which brand of 0% spiced rum .. I didn't realise there was such a thing .. going to look on Amazon.
