For some reason the swine flu seems to have been dropped by the newspapers as 'old news' or something, when in fact in many areas it is much worse than it was last year. I would suggest that anyone who has not had the flu jab this year to at least reconsider their decision, there is a big difference between a cold and the flu. I had a bad cold a couple of months back and it knocked me for six I hate to think of the effect the flu or swine flu in particular would have had

At-risk groups
It is recommended you have a flu jab if you:
• are 65 or over,
• have a serious medical condition (see box),
• live in a residential or nursing home,
• are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill,
• are a healthcare or social care professional directly involved in patient care, or
• work with poultry (see below).
