Thank you @shelley262 but my limited eyesight and consequent terrible slow typing prevent me form doing lengthy, accurate posts. I wouldn't be safe and would likely mistype a "not" for a "must" with dire outcomesThank you so much for the nomination @jpscloud very thoughtful but it's not possible for me at this time.
Wonder if the knowledgeable and regular forum contributors @MrsA2 and @LivingLightly would be interested?
Could I second @TheSecretCarbAddict for nomination please? Very knowledgeable and helpful member of the forum.@Pipp, thank you for your low-down on being a moderator - very useful insight.
I'd like to put my name forward if that's OK.
Fabulous!@Pipp, thank you for your low-down on being a moderator - very useful insight.
I'd like to put my name forward if that's OK.
Thank you very much, @Rachox, it's greatly appreciated. But I'm not here often enough, and am at work most days.
I would like to second this- I work basically full time in an extremely stressful job (lawyer) and have 3 (adult) children with disabilities. I don't have the capacity for lots of hours but feel I do contribute to the team. The team is very supportive of my capacity. As others have said we all bring different things to the team@IanBish i second everything @AndBreathe says - it’s a voluntary role and it fits around you not you around it. All the current mods have varying levels of commitment and we are all supportive with each other, it’s also fair to point out we all bring something different & different skills which is very important to the modding process
I second this nomination.I would like to nominate @Grant_Vicat, not so much because he has a lot of experience living with diabetes and personal experience of serious complications, but because I think that a moderator with such beautiful and correct English could make this forum more cool
Thank you both @Zhnyaka and @Antje77 I am both flattered and astonished! Having read several posts about the work involved, my main concern is my lack of technologiical ability. I'm prepared to give this a go!I second this nomination.
There is something particularly wonderful about a diabetes forum even discussing this.Another thing is the ugly political situation you're currently dealing with.
I have no idea if being a mod could pose a danger for you. If so, please decline!
Well my tech knowledge is in the single percentage figures and I’m still here lol - like I mentioned further up the thread we all have different skills to bring to the table - tech not being one of mine either
Thank you for that observation @In ResponseCould we have a list of current nominees and whether they have been seconded, accepted or declined?
I think it is usual for the current mods to keep this list updated in the first post.
I find it helps when considering who to nominate and easier than scanning through the complete thread.
Hi,I’d like to nominate @IanBish @Hopeful34 @becca59 and @Jaylee and second the nominations for @Pipp @Juicyj @TheSecretCarbAddict
I second this nomination.
I also know you've been nominated yourself before, and your need for using translation software was a reason to decline.
This sounds like you've been working actively on your English, and what's more, loving the language!
With a combination of getting much better at English, and translation software getting better, I see possibilities...
Another thing is the ugly political situation you're currently dealing with.
I have no idea if being a mod could pose a danger for you. If so, please decline!
I'm nominating @Zhnyaka .
