Just wondering if anybody else is having trouble with the forum pages loading extremely slowly tonight? I'm using IE but am not having the same problem with any other sites.

Yes, its really slow for me.... I use Firefox so its not just IE.

Agreed been slow all day think the hamsters might need a rest

There is something more than hampsters that are shirking their duties in this site. Whatever is acting as a drag anchor needs sorting out PDQ before members just walk away. It is not a general 'php' glitch as I run a forum with the same engine as it has been as fast as usual over the past few days.
Also I keep having to log-in even though the system is supposed to recognise me, so the glitch has several wide stretched arms causing more than one problem.
TIP .. More often than not, a problem with site speed is usually caused by one or more of the advertisers, so a run through of all the ad scripting for errors would be a good place to start.

Took me 2:07 minutes to open this page just now and another 1:23 minutes to refresh it in time to see Hobs to the power of 12

68 users on line at present! so excess traffic not to blame.

Ive been having this problem since i signed up for the forum, takes about 3 minutes for my reply to get posted...Its a tad annoying, but none the less, i'm still here, cause I need help with my diabetes

Definitely has slow issue every now and then , admins need to check cache and log files, may need a clear out of server files.

Today is a particularly bad day - just trying to reach this page took five minutes. Connectoremail is a very bad medium which switches me from the newsletter email to the Forum - drives me mad to think how much of my life is wasted waiting on this site - it is not my machine because sometimes the performance is 100%. Still, we should be grateful, it could be as bad as Yahoo News.

if the forum is slow 9 times out 10 it is the server where it is on. diabetes.co.uk need to get onto their hosting provider. Looks like they are hosted with 1and1

Hi All.
Have let admin know about this , it is slow today even myself am
experiencing this...
Anna.

Seems to be OK..............for now

Bizarrely enough it's working fine for me at the moment, though I usually find that it cuts out altogether when I move between posts. Just goes to show that I'm always out of synch with everyone else..

Same thing again today. :problem:

It's been fine the last few days but it's running slow today
