Vegetables can also contain fructose, sometimes in fairy high quatities (e.g. a head of red cabbage contains more than an apple) so maybe we should be avoiding these as well?
Actually I've found so far that it's not easy to compare fructose values in fruit and vegetables as none of the info I've found has given fructose per 100g weight for veggies...

I read that eating fruit before a meal is better for your system and not afterwards. Just wondering what you all feel about it.
Full english is no good for me - I recently retested some foods i was diagnosed as having an intolerance to years ago but have been including much too often since being low carb - some were ok but eggs were most certainly not - spent a very painful 4 hours in response to eating 1 of those, similarly with tomatoesBacon and eggs. No fructose there
But what about bacon!?? My God please tell me you can still have bacon!!Full english is no good for me - I recently retested some foods i was diagnosed as having an intolerance to years ago but have been including much too often sinnnnnce being low carb - some were ok but eggs were most certainly not - spent a very painful 4 hours in response to eating 1 of those, similarly with tomatoes
Omg. That was one of my favourites, with dare I say a sprinkling of sugar! The thought of it now actually makes me feel a little bit queasyI was never a big fruit lover but on occasion I would have a banana sandwich made with white bread and marg. There are more carbs in one banana sandwich than my daily amount these days and I never had just the one!
Yep bacons atill ok so are mushrooms but theres only so many days a week I fancy that. - I normally either just have a non dairy cocoa or some low carb granola with almond milk and a few freeze dreie blackcurrents / raspberries for breakfastBut what about bacon!?? My God please tell me you can still have bacon!!
Not questioning the egg but nightshade are well known to bring on arthritis symptoms. The back of my knee swells almost instantly. Peppers in all forms, tomato, potato and eggplant are all nightshades.Full english is no good for me - I recently retested some foods i was diagnosed as having an intolerance to years ago but have been including much too often sinnnnnce being low carb - some were ok but eggs were most certainly not - spent a very painful 4 hours in response to eating 1 of those, similarly with tomatoes
That sounds wonderful too. It is really difficult to find black currents here. I tried growing a shrub but it didn’t about to much. I love red currents.Yep bacons atill ok so are mushrooms but theres only so many days a week I fancy that. - I normally either just have a non dairy cocoa or some low carb granola with almond milk and a few freeze dreie blackcurrents / raspberries for breakfast
When I was formally tested for intolerances I had to exclude foods for 10 days to guage the effects before reintroducing and testing them - with the ones I came out as v strongly intolerant to, I felt much worse in the first 5-7 days of excluding them than I did when eating them, then things improved. Not questioning the egg but nightshade are well known to bring on arthritis symptoms. That being said, I’ve been eating more eggs lately and have had a headache which is odd for me so I’m going a few days without to see. I question cheese to but I still have my ounce of melted Brie. Nuts in question as well but I NEED TO EAT , haha. And being keto taking out cheese and nuts makes it much harder. Thank goodness avocado works !
That’s horrible. I think I remember you testing foods awhile back. Did you quit all suspects at once or one at a time? When I was formally tested for intolerances I had to exclude foods for 10 days to guage the effects before reintroducing and testing them - with the ones I came out as v strongly intolerant to, I felt much worse in the first 5-7 days of excluding them than I did when eating them, then things improved.
Im also intolerant to all nightshades - when testing tomatoes, 3 little toms blew my stomach up 3 inches, caused a rash across my chest annd asthma like wheezing which was rather spectacular!
Indeed. And remember, recent studies suggest that bacon and other "processed" meats are "bad" for you, resulting in increased risks for things like cancer.... Having said that, the risk from uncontrolled T2 diabetes is probably a lot worse than that, so sometimes you just have to learn what suits your own body the best and choose your poison accordingly.Whio is starting to wonder whether it's getting to the point where anything will be considered safe to eat or drink
I hadn’t to laugh out loud when I read this. I have two gorgeous pet rabbits. They get a half a apple each every evening. I slice bit off each half as a treat for me......I share my fruit with my guinea-pigs. I get to eat one or two bites, they get the rest!

Oh that’s right for you Ozzie’s those critters are pests.I have just had bacon and omelettes for break fast, I also had half a Pitaya with Greek yoghurt. It was the only one that was ripe so had to share with my partner.
Hmmm! Fruit fed hamsters and rabbits, I bet they will be nice and tasty as they are pre marinated.
At first I just eliminated a few suspect foods but felt awful after a few days andthought the theory was rubbbish, ate a normal meal and ended up unconcious on the floor with medics then questioning if I might be epileptic! That’s horrible. Gluten / grains were horrible to detox from. I totally understand the feeling worse first. I kind of forgot that so it’s a good reminder
What were your symptoms when you added things back in?
Only occasionally do I have nightshades and I reserve them for spicy sauce.
I do very well on the whole 30 autoimmune protocol but would miss nuts, eggs and my little piece of cheese. Small indulgences.
I’m seriously thinking the eggs are causing the headache. Non yesterday and just a hint of headache. I’m stopping them for a few days. Intolerances. Arg.
A friend of mine currently has guinea-pigs to test their taste. If they taste good he plans to breed them. He already does that with the rabbits and chickens, but that's considered more normal. And I must admit, I already ate my last rooster, he was an agressive a****e.Hmmm! Fruit fed hamsters and rabbits, I bet they will be nice and tasty as they are pre marinated.
