HBA1c after low carbing.

Was diagnosed in January HBA1c level of 88. Have been very low carbing since and it is now now 36. Absolutely delighted, just had to share the news and thank everyone on the forum who has helped with meal ideas and encouragement.
Amazing. I am on low carb after HBa1c of 84 in March . Trying but 8.1 just now. Will see after lunch. Cant be food as had no carbs today or very few anyway

This is positive news. Well done.

Would you be willing to share what you ate on your low carb on a typical day? How low low carb did you go?

Once again well done.
Thanks all. Couldn’t have done it without the support here, particularly the low carb thread.

So I’ve cut down to 2 meals a day - lunch if I’m at home it’s usually eggs, with some bacon, or avocado or good quality sausages. At work some low carb bread with corn beef, butter and some smoked sausage plus a sugar free jelly.

Dinner - range of different things but usually in a week aubergine lasagne, steak one night, homemade Nando’s chicken thighs, fajitas with a low carb wrap. Any kind of meat and veg. Followed by a low carb brownie/ protein bar or dark chocolate.

I think I’m probably getting about 30g a day but most veg and the dark chocolate.

HBA1c down to 33 from last year's 35.

Nearly 3 years without medication and diabetes.
Low carb, high fat, 16 hours fasting every day, indoor walking on a treadmill.

Feeling fine.

So many success stories just prove that current established advice is woefully inaccurate. How long before things change?

Well done to everyone who has made the change and are now experiencing improved health. I know that I'm one of the lucky ones too!
