Here comes Summer let's stay active.

Hmm, only a bargain if you will definitely use it. So will you?
I dont know .....

A colleague has said that if I join, so will she. I am now leaning towards a monthly subscription but think £35 a lot of money per month ... I know I would have access to gym, pool and exercise classes but ....

Could you try out a few activities and classes before making a commitment? Some local councils have sport centres. Also, sometime you can get a GP referral to sport activities where there are concessions on prices. Worth looking into before you take out an expensive contract.

Run first thing after strong coffee and double cream:) then some heavy lifting in the garden, so that's enough activity for me on a Saturday.

I'll be popping into town this afternoon to get some Really Useful Boxes for my mum, then tonight I'll be volunteering at the theatre again. Lazy Saturdays are not really my thing :)

Certainly active today. Just hand balled 2 tons of Scottish pebbles onto the borders of my back garden. That's enough for today. Same again to complete the job after a few days rest:)

I can be lazy. Choose not to today, as sun is shining, and there are some pots in the garden need sorting.
Nice day for laundry to line dry too. Followed by a short walk this evening when it is cooler.

Walked to and from mums and went down to her shops this afternoon - total walking time 1 hour 15 minutes :)

I was going to have a day's rest today from running, but when I woke up to the lovely bird song chorus at 5am....I thought coffee, a Good Green Stuff and 1 mile run to get the day going:). Keeps me out of mischief:)

My daughter was with me , she did a mile and a half then stood while I did another half mile and I met her on the way back , she then moaned all the way home lol .

My problem is at the moment I am not allowed to lift any thing heavier than a packet of biscuits.

I feel for you...are you expecting the ability to lift to improve?:)

Oh you poor thing! I broke my shoulder in an accident and had a permanent pin put in it. Even with physio it took 4 months just to lift my arm up to shoulder level

I have been instructed not to do any lifting for at least a month after the operation so will be a few weeks yet still I will be brave and restrict my self to very small well maybe medium sized objects such as I have mentioned.

That must have been painful my sympathy on that. thanks for your concern. I have recently undergone surgery to fix an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm by putting stents in not allowed to lift very much so as not to disturb stents as if they move and start to leak I will have to go through it all again..

My thoughts are with you and i do hope you enjoy a full recovery in the near future:)

Cheers but there is one advantage the more often you lift a packet of biscuits the lighter it gets. ;)

I try not to take things too seriously as if I did I'd probably end up crying myself to sleep every night.:)

Hope you 're ok John .

I had a lovely slow wander up the hill and back , 3 miles in the sun .ImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1464899847.232083.jpg
