Selfish people, arseholes who think they know it all, ignoramuses, chavs and people with no manners. People who play music on the bus or train full blast on their phones.
We got a skip dropped off yesterday evening. I've booked 3 days off work Mon - Wed. I started a couple of hours ago after the midday sun and a meak/insulin. Man after 15 mins of getting the old fencing off the back garden to the front drive I was dead and my clothes were sodden. Shorts and t shirt. I spent one hour and am thoroughly knackered! My elderly 82 year old neighnour said I look fit. I asked her if she'd give me a hand, to which she laughed. I feel drained and tired out now. Anyone else struggling with this weather? I hate nighttimes as well. Can not sleep! Windows open and birds sing from 0320 till 0750, gah!

Hi Mart,
It only seems to be a few weeks back that I had 3 duvets on my bed (no heating) and the electric blanket on. I am slowly being cooked by the heat. Whenever I venture 'upcountry' I am amazed by the difference in the air quality. The air here in Cornwall is always new, the sea is never more than a few miles away. My friend and I went for a drive in her open Austin 7 yesterday and today. We came home via the coast road but there was so much mist coming in from the sea we couldn't see the sea! We had lunch under a large fan in the conservatory and in a short while we will be going into the garden, hopefully in the shade, to plant flowers. I am now looking forward to the winter when I will spend winter evenings dreaming of the summer.

Thanks for that, mate. Sounds like things are pretty peachy. Good work my man. It's still abhorrently, wildly hot!

I feel like **** too Mart! No energy either and not sleeping past 4am..levels are bad too

Sleeping is difficult in this warm weather, I can't stand it when it's too hot, hopefully it will cool down a bit over the next few days.

Hope you don't ache too much tomorrow Mart :)

I hope you're well enough to achieve what you planned. Suggest you work morning and evening, & take a siesta.

My levels have been higher in the sudden heat, but I though I would have one set of tennis yesterday - with the promised heat wave, I may have to give tennis a miss. We had one set, but there were so few players that we had a second. Then another player arrived when we were on the point of winning the second set - so she came on and we had a third.

BGs are better this evening, so I may be adjusting to the heat.

It's a pain in the proverbial isn't it when its finally sunny enough for outside work but too dang hot to get much done. My bp is quite low because of the heat so I've been dizzy a lot. Still love the sunshine and heat though - sick to the back teeth of rain and cold!

Mo, I love ya but it's too much, I do like the sun but it's too much. I've booked 3 days leave and I'd rather bw in the rain than this. I know I can't have it all ways, bud. I will never win. I do like the weather but I can't even mow the lawn! Bum! There, I've said it,

Same here and I do love blue skies and the vitamin D boost but i'm struggling with day to day stuff now..it seems our weather is all or nothing with no compromise at all

I'm convinced I was born in the wrong country. I'm absolutely loving this weather and have been out running for an hour or so at every opportunity and lying in the garden when i'm not. :D
Last week I went to the lakes and ran up and down Black Combe - brilliant! and then around Walney Island. This weekend I've been for long runs around local parks and nature reserves. Just need to keep hydrated and get a few salted peanuts down my neck...

Hi I know how difficult it can be in this heat. The mornings are better for me as it is a bit cooler then. But now I have a fan on me because the sun is coming round to the b house and it is getting HOTTER!!!!!!!! by the minute.

I read in my dad's Daily express today that it's going to be 95F in the south, my region, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, OMG, I know we shouldn't complain, but............................ I DO NOT LIKE IT ONE BIT and it can make me feel unwell. Can't function very well as the day goes on and as for sleeping, well forget it it's unbearable upstairs in my house, so I'm sleeping, well, trying to, down stairs tonight.

RRB :( ps take it easy

95F?! That's hotter than Las Vegas, and that's in the desert! Holy cow. I don't envy you there at all. It's been reaching about 31C in Coventry over the past few weeks... I'd say that's uncomfortably hot. My bedroom at home is a small box room and it's got the sun shining in there almost all day making it like a greenhouse. Haven't been getting to sleep until after 2:30am most mornings :(

I might try and sleep downstairs too, with the patio door open. Just gotta be careful of the bitey nasties

In the shade in my house, the temperature gauge registered 28C 30mins ago. Outside the temperature went up to 46C in half shade half sunglight so its definitely 'Too Hot Ta Trot' lol (Commodores). Have to see if I can fry an egg on the patio tomorrow

I don't newspapers myself, I just buy them for my dad, so I don't know how true newspapers get the weather right.... or not :!:

My elderly dad still wears a jumper over his shirt and still has blankets, eiderdowns, a throw and a satin bedcover on his bed  but I did wash his sheets today and the satin bedcover.

Guys, please be safe if you have windows or patio doors open through out the night. Stay safe.

RRB :)

Yes we should be able to find a away to keep cool and enjoy the sun.....hope everyone gets some sleep :) kx

Thanks! I booked 3 days off and all I've done is lie down in my pants. Far too hot to move! Ok, I've moved a recently deceased tree to the skip and several slices of trunk. Too hot. Oh and loads of heavy metal, just not to my taste.

Ian, I love that suggestion, Paul and Month and TC Too. I'll suggest a nap to Mrs Martwolves, I'll get a nap or a right hook! I bet on the latter.
