Does anyone get hot flushes for no apparent reason? Before anyone suggests time of life, I am well done with that.
It sometimes happens, like this morning about an hour after a boiled egg

What is your BG?
Feeling hot is sometimes a hypo symptom.

But, apart from that, no.
The only medication I take is insulin, So I cannot comment if you may be experiencing a reaction from any other medication (if you are in any).

Er, I hate to say this @SueJB, but hot flushes can last forever. My 87-yr-old mum occasionally gets them as does her older friend. I found out this startling and unwelcome fact from a 75-yr-old. But of course yours may be due to another factor, as @helensaramay says - have you had them after eating eggs before? Or another food?

Could this be rosacea? I used to get a red face after eating, just like a blush complete with heat. It got pretty bad, progressing to sore, light sensitive eyes, as well as lumpy skin (it's also known as senile acne - charming!). No one knows the true cause, but I'm betting on a change in the gut flora which is creating a toxin. Metronidazole antibiotic clears it up when taken orally but does nothing for the skin when applied as a cream, which indicates that it is killing the trouble making population of the gut flora and in my own case when I started low carb / lots of greens it went away!

I get the same reaction (also postmenopausal). I have a little Rosaceae and it oftentimes gets worse and I flush (ears, cheeks and nose) if I overindulge. Goes away as quickly as it came on.

I actually get terrible hot flushes, I even rang my specialist diabetic nurse to ask if it was my insulin, she said it could be that my bs was either high or too low!

Yes I get them about an hour after I've eaten certain foods too, I usually have a drink of water and they go away

I thought it was menapause but it only happens after I eat and at work during the daytime

Pass on the menopausal, but I have noticed that since my metabolic rate has dropped due to weight loss through LCHF I often feel cold, but then feel hot after a meal, especially a hot meal.

I think my thermostat is on the blink.

That's very much like gardening when I'm told that the plant died because of too much or too little water!!

Lol
I don't think a boiled egg is overindulgence

In the evening after a cup of coffee

I sometimes get a hot feeling, just for a couple of minutes, about an hour after eating. I read this thread this morning just after breakfast and thought I’d test my blood sugar next time it happened. Funnily enough it happen today an hour after my breakfast. My pre b’fast reading was 5.6, when feeling hot approximately an hour later it was 6 and two hours after first bite it was back to 5.6 so it’s not high or low sugar in my case. I’m post menopausal too and was lucky that I never suffered any menopausal symptoms, may be it’s pay back time!

I'm not diabetic or pre-diabetic(yet), but I think it is very likely I am insulin resistant.

I'm still struggling with a sugar addiction that I haven't been able to get a grip on. When I eat too much sugary junk I get an extremely hot, bright red face (like hot flushes) about an hour after doing so. And it can last for at least a couple of hours. I get other symptoms too, like an uncomfortably fast heart rate.

I keep telling myself that continuing to eat sugary junk despite these unpleasant symptoms is the definition of insanity. But I still carry on doing it anyway.
