How do you all count fiber within the context of your carbohydrate limit?

I eat a high fiber diet, and by that nature my carb content may be higher than a lot of yours. If I were to compare my diet to a popular one, I would say Mediterranean for this reason. How do you all feel about that?
 
I do not include fibre in my counts as in Australia we follow the UK way of carbs and fibre being separate in food nutrition info.
 
The carbs you need to count for sorting out your blood glucose do not include fibre, so high or low fibre diets are pretty immaterial for type two carb control.
