The supplement is the D form of aspartic acid whereas the aspartic acid found in aspartame is the L form which is the same as that found in proteins. The 2 molecules are mirror-images of each other and are metabolised differently so aspartame is not likely to be a particular problem for "the ladies".

Fat is really really bad for you. I think more or less all research showed that and all countries went along with it and all the health advice was stay away from it.
Yet here I am on a high fat diet getting healthier.
How long was this the correct advice?
How many institutes and nations are shifting positions on this?
So this stuff might be okay until it isn't.

Enormous aye? Well in what combinations did they check small amounts whilst taking any of the other fifty thousand man made substances/drugs/chemicals in our food at the same time does that apply to? Fifty thousand! That makes it impossible for any study to be truly meaningful because it is impossible to test all the combinations different people are mixing with who knows what. The reality is we are using our minds and bodies in a great experiment that no one is running and no one is in charge of so no one really has a clue. It's out of control. When chemical companies become an accepted part of the food chain you know something is not right.

I've found that my low carb diet is causing kidney stones had to go to hospital because of ketones in urine but it was kidney stone awful pain .told to up water intake and balanced diet no so much low carb .its a minefield not easy to know what's right
 
They also told me that fasting is not helpful as it can cause liver to turn fat into glucose which produce ketones

I would have a read about the difference between nutritional ketosis and ketoacidosis.
The amount of information the average NHS person doesn't know about nutritional ketosis is amazing.
- they usually have a knee jerk reaction that ALL ketones are bad - which is nonsense.

LCHF diets are designed to produce ketones and those ketones are an aid to maintaining excellent blood glucose levels.

I can't speak about your personal level of ketones, or your kidney stones, but providing people have enough insulin (either injected or produced by their own bodies), and their blood glucose doesn't go too high, ketones are not a risk.

Oh, and that comment about fasting - that is exactly what fasting is intended to do! So it looks like those NHS staff don't have a clue about fasting either...

the liver in most diabetics type 2 seems to change proteins into glucose in a much higher rate all day long, but especially in the morning than do non diabetic persons...
has nothing especially to do with fasting... when fasting the liver do in fact de-liver glucose to your body as long as there is storage in the liver..

the newest possitive experiment about fatty liver is that lowering carbs to the highest 30% of ones calories and upping proteins to 40% of ones calories, the rest is fat (30%) this diet type seems to better fatty-liver with 48% in only 6 weeks, which seems to indicate that fatty-liver is in fact created from high carb eating style, which most of us in this forum already know..

I think it would be reasonable to believe that most healthcare persons knowledge and guidelines are maybe at least 15 years old and have often not been revised since them being educated or their learning books been written

there are so many different styles in eating low carb, and kidney stones can be made of many reasons, I dont think it is a lack of carbs creating kidney-stones ... many people eating lower carbs eat very high phospherous filled foods too high in that (from high animal protein-foods ), to go low carb in a healthy style, one has to know about the different foods and also eat in a varied style so one does not get too much of some kind of foods that are not good for anyone to get too much of..

maybe you only did create kidney stones because you in general did drink too little, which has nothing to do with low carb...

Here's me thinking the original question about Aspartame would result in a conversation about Aspartame.
 
Aspartame has three components, phenylalanine, aspartic acid and methanol into which it is broken down in digestion. All are naturally occurring, Only the last is toxic at high doses but you would have to have quite a bit to exceed the amount of methanol normally found in food but that is up to you as others say above. The bizarre scare stories about aspartic acid would be humorous if not for the continued post-fact generation. There is about 3,000 times as much aspartic acid in a small steak as in a can of diet coke. The kind of stuff tells you that there is no really evidence of harm.
