There was a young man from Leicester
Who couldn't control his blood tester
Instead of his thumb
He 'took' from his bum
And now it is starting to fester

Any other budding poets out there?
 
There was a young lady named Flood
Who had glucose too high in her blood
She said "I don't like it,
It's the sweeties that spike it"
So now she's off sweeties for good"

Who couldnt control her fix
She liked her sugar
Diabetes got her
And now shes type1 an its sh*t

The was a T2 man called Eddie
Whose breakfast comprised of one Shreddie
To make up for that
He ate a Kit-Kat
And now he is feeling unsteady

There is a Type 1 guy named Mart
Who's sugar levels are way off the chart
Whatever he does
He still gets the buzz
Now he couldn't give less of a fart.
 
There was a young lady from Stoke
But so afraid of the needles, she could not poke
So she asked the postman, the milkman too
But they were all arrested, by the boys in Blue.

He lost so much weight
With the food that he ate

A T2 young lady called Ruth
Was searching to find out the truth
She said I've tried DUK
But I'm quite out of luck
My BGs still go through the roof.

She said, are they wrong, or just barmy?
The advice that they give does alarm me
For what they advise
Seems a big pack of lies
They recommend carbs that just harm me.

I'll search on the co uk forum
And take the advice from a quorum
Low carb is so good
I enjoy all my food
And my BGs are so well-controlled that when I keep telling my friends & family I just bore-em.

It seems that the muse has departed
Soon after this thread has been started
Although every verse
Can only get worse
Surely you're not all downhearted?
 
Well I am, at least, still here
There's really is no need to fear

Who didn't look very athletic
To the Gym he was sent,
stood sideways to Instructor Brent,
and said " Ooohhh you're much too thin",
so decided to mark him absent.
