i dont think because Andrew has chosen to do this experiment, others should try it. carbs are sugar.
just opinion,
Andy - obviously, I can't speak for Andrew, but from my perspective, I find it helpful to have a thread discussing this topic, as I'm in a similar position myself. The more people contribute, the better really. After all, not all of those posts will be reporting positive outcomes, and that, over time, gives a rounded view.
I have stated my reasons for my activity, and that remains valid. Everyone else must find their own way forward, like they must with the bigger diet picture. That not everyone agrees with this is healthy. It's a variation on what happens with the LCHF versus other diet threads. That not everyone agrees with LCHF is the way of the world, but it's valid all diets are discussed.
There are often threads about having a day off, or treating high days and holidays differently. They're equally valid. Personally, I haven't had a day off from my eating regime since diagnosis, and that covers my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, my OH's birthday, Easter and several breakfast, lunch and dinner parties. We all approach this differently.
Your opinion is extremely valid; I just don't concur with your opinion, in this instance. If the subject matter was a Chelsea bun, ice cream and chips diet, I'm sure we'd both be on the same wavelength.
