I think my heavy rock days were enjoyed with ZEp Sabbath Groundhogs etc and then I kind of drifted into other stuff.
If you look back through this thread though I probably have posted quite a bit of rock.
Maybe it's an age thing.
My sons love heavy rock.

I do like some old rock, some new rock, jazz, pop ... a little of everything.

One of my favourite songs ever ...
 
Leonard Cohen was like a treasured secret that the mainstream didn't know about or simply didn't like.
Cohen inhabited the lives of students in bed sits hippies zonked out in the corner going over and over the lyrics and the emotions that came out of the speakers.
Then he suddenly becomes public property in his twilight years and tours the world with all manner of people covering his stuff and teenagers weeping over his emotional and spiritual power at live concerts.
Once the public took ownership of him I kind of lost interest and that's my excuse for not even knowing he released an album in 2012 called
Old Ideas.
I'm loving that one more than the new one just now but that's just now.
I feel a Cohen posting frenzy coming on ......
