This year post diet the boys went all the way and won their age group.I arrived at 9.00am and finally left the place at 7.00pm.Throughout the day I was on my feet yelling them on,scribbling tactics on my white board between games.I felt totally energised throughout.
Its simple things like this which make the effort of doing the diet and controlling your blood sugars worthwhile.

Do you feel a tad bloated, I would have thought with the way you now know how your body feels you would be getting some hint of where the extra weight was accumulating.

I have to say I wish Metformin reduced my appetite
youngmanfrank said:A point to consider about Metformin. It does play some part in protecting against heart disease in diabetic patients, however you are currently returning non-diabetic blood sugar levels, and it can have its own side effects.
In America a low calorie diet similar to the Newcastle Diet was trialled by cardiologists on heart problem patients. Its effect was to reduce fatty deposits in the heart, reduce plaque deposit in the arteries, lower cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure. In other words the diet you have just completed will in itself provide heart benefits equivalent to or greater than the continued use of metformin.
I thought I did not suffer any reaction to my three metformin a day until I came off it,when I realised that I had lost a continous dull achy feeling in the kidney area.
