Hi my name is andy and have recently been diagnosed at the age of 43 I am looking for advice regarding breakfast ideas I'm looking at yogurt but cant seem to pin down a good one as all seem to have a lot of sugar please help

Full fat Greek yoghurt that I add strawberries and either flax seed or crushed nuts is my go to. I’ve had Tesco, fage and others. I look for whatever is lowest carb. Tesco finest was my favourite but it’s not in my local

There are other types of berries but to be honest, I only like strawberry. Most other fruits will be higher carb so not so good

need to be wary it is Greek and not Greek style

Hello and welcome,

I also found breakfast the hardest meal doing keto. I just don't have it any longer. I did try breakfast muffins made mainly from eggs bacon and maybe cream.Eggs and bacon also works

and you will find a lot of ideas there.

Natural greek style yoghurt, or eggs, or cold meats or cheese . I often cook extra for dinner the night before so there is enough left for breakfast.

With yoghurt you can add the milled seeds and strawberriesor blueberries the night before it will then swell overnight to be thick and creamy and ready to eat in the morning. Can do several days ahead so its there ready

but most yogurts are loaded with added sugar for no apparent reason.
The reason is the sugar bliss point. People find it makes it taste better.... Very unfortunate if you're prone to becoming carb intolerant because those sugar laden yoghurts will help you get there....:arghh::arghh::arghh:

I usually have smoked salmon and cream cheese, a mini package of almonds for breakfast.
Steak for lunch. Cod or chicken breast with green veggies for dinner. I have a yogurt and casein protein smoothie later in the day.
snacks.. a full tablespoon of peanut butter, cheese, avocado smoothie, macadamia nuts.

Gym days, I usually add another meal, usually soft boiled eggs x3

my boring diet.

Full fat Greek with something like berries, nuts or coconut shavings tossed in. Eggs with something low carb, like bacon, salmon, mushrooms. (Scrambled, omelette, sunny side up or breakfast muffin-shaped, whatever you like). Leftovers. Or just skip breakfast. I usually break my fast around or past noon, and go for 2 meals a day.
