Womens boxer Nicola Adams GB, is the Olympic champion and has just won GOLD aginst her Chinnese opponent :clap: I watched it and even though womens boxing is not my thing, Nicola was brillaint, what an athelet :D Well done Team GB, they are the best :thumbup: RRB

The Irish girl Katie Taylor is boxing now, looks like she is going to getting gold as well....................................................

Best couple of weeks ever!

For my whole life I've been desperate for the England to win the football World Cup. Now I don't think that it really matters all that much. Team GB's achievements this week have surpassed that.

Looking forward to running with Mo at the Great North Run in 6 weeks.

Great results though it's been an absolutely stunning success for both the GB athletes and for the country as a whole. Still reckon the best performance of the games was the ladies team sprint cyclists who beat the world record six times in a row on their way to gold.
 
What a fantastic 16 days it has been, rather sad that it will all end tonight but looking forward to the closing ceremony all the same, just hope they keep McCartney away from the microphone :roll:
 
I have got a slightly different take on it as I have been using the London Underground all through this time and my eyes need a rest from all the multicoloured shirts and hats that I have been in close proximity to!

I can't wait for the Paralympics personally..seems to be getting overlooked as usual.

Re Macca. I'm with you on that one Nigel, I just hope that the rumours I have heard about the Spice Girls are untrue. Somebody tell me it's not true! :thumbdown:

Awww NOOO!! :( :( :( I had to put up with this bunch the first time around, I have got four daughters and had to go through the torture that was the SpiceWorld Movie and all the associated music (? Pffft :x ) that went before it.

S'not fair, it's really not

We have had to endure years of Rap music in our house, Chris of Eggheads says they need to put a 'C' in front of Rap :lol:
