I am type 2 and have been diabetic for 12 years. I get a sensation of pins and needles in my feet which is quite painful. This sensation has now progressed to my hands, arms, legs and face. Can anyone offer any help or advise?
Many thanks
Heather

I would hazard a guess at some form of neuropathy, but my advice is to go and see your GP before it gets any worse. Only he/she will be able to diagnose and maybe even send you to see a consultant.
In the mean time I will suggest that you keep a tight control on your BG to avoid aggravating the condition.

Good luck and please come back and let us all know how you got on.

Hi Heather,

I agree with Hobs, best get this checked out by your gp or diabetes clinic, but there are medicines available to help this condition. Hope things improve soon!
