Hi ! My fasting Hba1c is 38 mmol/mol.. can any1 tell me is this fall in pre diabetes range.. thanks. See the attachment plz.
Hi @imikhan101, and welcome to the forum.
An HbA1c of 38 (IFCC) is non-diabetic.
In the UK below 42 is non-diabetic, 42-47 is pre-diabetic, and 48 and above is diabetic.

Hi, thought I would rejoin this thread after not posting on it for a while.
So after three weeks away on holiday, yesterday my FBG was 6.2 mmol, which I thought wasn't too bad.
This morning I got 6.5, oops! It's going to be a long haul..... Again.

Tested with two meters this AM, my usual (Contour Next) gave a FBG of 6.3, the backup one, (Trueresult Twist) 5.7. I think I'll go with the Contour.

Just aced it at the Healthier You 34 MMol!!!!! HBa1C 34!!!!! VICTORY DANCE !!:smug::):hilarious:

97 mg/dl earlier this morning.

Will visit my new doc today and will get a pretty good idea of her problem solving/action taking capabilities.

6.3 thia am so no change, maybe one day I'll get it consistently below 6!??

Same here, though I haven't tested my blood sugar much. I am still not on any diabetic meds, thank goodness. I have gone back on a low sugar diet, therefore have gained a bit more energy.

Good luck hope you manage to stay off the diabetic meds.
Regards, RJW

Realised after a few mouthfulls that I had not tested, then tested @99 mg/dl which is reasonable.Doc says if temperature does not rise, then come back in a month for repeat tests. Still awaiting C Peptide test result, the most interesting of all , first time test for me.

Thanks for that, I will try.
This am a rare 5.9.

Hello all,

After seeing a significant range of readings, I am just wondering WHAT I really should be aiming for? I am often around 5.8. So, is that GOOD? Is that just OK. I see some poeple happy with that, and other not. I see references to "diabetic" goals, but not sure what is considered OK.
