hey all

my BG's have started not behaving late this afternoon -- 9.7 before tea -- minimal carrbs -- ( about 20 ) and yet 3 hours later 11.2
have changed pod ( 10 pm ) -- here is a pic of last
pod and my arm where pod was sited

a bit of blood on pod adhesive ( not good )
and a second red lump to the right and just above the cannula insertion
anyone seen this sort of thing - and as a general question

does anyone on a pump get a second red lump close to cannula site -- ( indicating insulin might not be delivering correctly )

Blood on the pod means all wasn't well @himtoo , I've had inflammation at the cannula/infusion site but not to the right like your pic shows

i have had this happen 1 other time -- the first time i actually thought it was an insect bite -- but happening a second time and BG's rising makes me think Pod / Pump related

Sounds like it hit a vessel, have had that with the new steel infusion set I am using on the 640g, it came out pretty quick. At least you didn't go sky rocket - are you back down today ?

back down in the 6's today

it's weird thouh cuz they only started rising about 5pm yesterday
and it was about 57 hours after that pod had been inserted
so it wasn't a bleed i noticed when inserting

Almost recently had same happen. Area around and under inflamed, Unsure why -but maybe because used to inject in area with large bore needles as a child so very likely to be circulation/ absorption problem.

Not an omnipod user (remember serious pump envy here) but I nearly always have a bump after I remove a cannula and sometimes the adhesive leaves red marks. The occasional one will get itchy afterwards and I just think I'm a little bit sensitive to the adhesive and the bump is where its pressed down into the skin. If I give a large bolus in one go rather than extend it the bump will always be itchy.....
