Sea level rise alarming and dangerous?
Well I live not far from the sea and my grandchildren get to play and picnic on the same sea walls I did.
Same rocks same sand dunes nothing has changed ..... nothing at all.

The Pentagon and the American government will of course be well aware of any sea rise threats to their billions of pounds worth of radar satellite and other communications equipment on Diego Garcia and island in the Indian ocean.
They have huge fuel storage tanks as good as on the beach for refueling war planes and ships.
Food and medical stores for resupplying ships and submarines with food medicines and troops.
They have billions of pounds worth of long range bombers and all the munitions needed to restock them along with a base force of around seven thousand personnel.
Are they building sea defences or pulling out?
No.

CO2 is not a pollutant but essential to life on earth.

Follow the money.
Billions already spent and being spent on the so called climate crisis.
Who's money is it .... tax payers .... where does all that money end up ..... banks.
More funneling of money from the bottom to the top.

So it seems we swing naturally from Bull to Bear markets.and back again. I just wish more people would apply sanity checks on the data being quoted today. Astronomically 2020 is the year we are due to start the next cycle of reduced solar activity, so the earth should start to cool again.

Scientists and supercomputer models.

It has proved impossible to build a model that can predict where a roulette ball will land on the spin of the wheel.
Speed pressure the materials involved all known all fed into the models but to no avail.
Compared to the massively complicated climate that they keep trying to model it is a pretty simple affair or should be.
If they cannot make such a prediction knowing all the variables why have the public at large grasped onto this climate modelling stuff so easily and quickly?
Relentless propaganda and lies from known and respected figures presumably.
It's got to the point where winter is .... climate change!!!!
Spring is ..... global warming!!!!and so on.
They aren't to hot with all the technology they have at telling me what the weather will be in a months time but they can tell me all about the climate.

Water vapour is the most powerful greenhouse gas in our atmosphere.
Clouds form from the influence of ocean movements ocean temperatures wind speeds and the sun .... the sun is a very powerful factor in cloud formation on earth.
So predicting the climate ..... can we predict how many clouds there will be in the northern hemisphere this coming year and their size density speed height and so on?
Of course we can't and we're talking here of the most potent greenhouse gas in the atmosphere!

Just how complicated is the climate and how primitive is our understanding of it/

I get annoyed at how all the focus on climate change, and whether it is real or not, is taking away the real and present danger of the pollution crisis globally.

Yes there are very serious pollution issues across the planet that have now been brushed under the climate crisis carpet as it were.
While they have the public mind focussed where they want it everything else can be ignored for a while.
 
All the fossil fuels we burn and put into the atmosphere came from the atmosphere in the first place .... if our science is correct.
We are now returning it to the atmosphere.
When all this carbon was being drawn down out of the atmosphere by trees and animals it is estimated that CO2 was 2,000 ppm and the earth was lush green and teeming with life.
We have lived with climate change like forever but there is a big difference now .... man on the whole is weak and puny totally reliant no longer independent and free and very very vulnerable and ignores the lessons King Cnut tried to teach us and we think we can change the climate at will.
 
I remember when lots of scientists ... probably around 97% or more of them ... said their science proved that fat made you fat and it should be removed from our diets ......
 
I had an old set of encyclopedias years ago from I think 1918.
As Crazy as it sounds now the scientists of the day and their science showed beyond doubt that the universe had no beginning.
It had always existed and that was obvious and you'd be a bit of a crackpot to say otherwise.
The crackpots were mostly those who had faith in their Bibles ... no look it says here God created .... so it obviously had a beginning.
Then came modern telescopes in the 1920's and the evidence started to accumulate and point to a beginning.
Eventually the scientists and the science changed to .... oh yes it obviously had a beginning .... the religious people must have just raised their eyebrows!
But a whole scientific model brushed aside like that.
We then had the big bang formulated for us as gospel and taught in our schools and universities.
But the big bang theory is rapidly falling apart and won't last much longer and the point I'm making here is ..... true science never stops discovering new avenues and in the past dogmas and agendas were cast aside very publicly but like I said earlier the whole thing has now become so corrupted as to have sown fear in the thought of challenging the official line and your career destroyed overnight and all that might lead to.
 
The oil we know today was first really discovered and scientifically looked at in a place called oil creek in America ... it was already named oil creek by the native Americans apparently who used it on their skin.
This stuff just bubbled to the surface all the time.
The age of oil was just on the horizon and about to take off big time.
The early oil industry actually saved the whale!
The main source of light was whale oil extracted I think from the blubber.
All over the world people were hunting down whales for the oil almost to the point of extinction.
When whale oil was no longer an important trade product the whales got some breathing space and time to recover.
They were still wanted for their bones but not on anything like the scale of oil.
 
The age of oil and the age of electricity have probably been the biggest blessing for modern man in food supply and variety medicines improving health and longevity beyond our imaginings transport and the shrinking of the world.
I'm sure people can list the downsides but all of us here have had the unimaginable blessings of the modern world.
Pharaohs emperors and kings centuries ago would be astounded at how easy my life is how comfortable I am how well fed how clean and so on .... no Pharoahe could match me on this.
Anyone wanting to switch it off has to be slightly bonkers.
 
We have cargo and container ships plying the oceans getting produce from one side of the world to the other, Now all ships use bunker oil, which is the smelliest, dirtyist foulest most polluting fuel in the world.There are no plans to make them go electric or nuclear - why not? One container ship going from China to Europe gives out as much GHG as a million cars driving for a day, and much more NOX and H2S to boot. No one is describing this particulate elephant in the water as being the biggest polluters on the planet. They are not even mentioned on any of the pie charst in the conference powerpoints.

We are paying a high price not just for meat, but all the fruit and veg and plastic knickknacks that we devour.

add to this the contribution of GHG by the construction industry, and cows should get an ummediate reprieve. They are not in the same league, but are irreplaceable wherease the others I discuss here do have viable alternatives.

The cows!!!!
When the Europeans arrived in America there was an estimated hundred million buffalo and bison.
Today there are an estimated hundred million cows.
They eat grass the bugs in their stomachs break it down they fart and burp them scary greenhouse gasses.
If we killed them all ..... the grass wouldn't get eaten but would still be broken down by the bugs into those scary greenhouse gasses.

Minus 25 is in F in C it is .... minus 31 in Centigrade .... that's cold.

Canada under record amounts of snow!
Ahh these are just localised weather events I hear all the time but bushfires in Australia are not considered to be localised weather events but proof the world's going to end and we're all going to die unless we bow to Greeta!
At the very start of the fires getting out of hand ten kids were arrested for starting fires but within 48 hrs that story had vanished .... then there were 28 adults arrested and that story didn't vanish it was changed to oh that was fake news.
It's dry material and eucalyptus oil that fueled those fires along with hot dry wind.
Australia remember is really a massive dessert with some livable bits!
The Aborigines for generations would clear the dry material and do controlled burns but modern man finds it to expensive so no longer bothers.
