Seed crackers M&S

I don't have it now to confirm if it's what you mean, but yes, I buy them regularly at my local M&S, and they are tasty and don't spike my BG.

I buy them now & then, usually for hubby - but I can manage 2 or 3 at just under 6g carb for the 3 with cheeses & meats etc on a charcuterie board. I quite like them for giving a bit of texture & crunch and I find them filling.

I used to like the little round seed crackers they did but I don’t think they do those anymore. You can get very similar (I suspect the exact same thing) from Amazon

They are back in M&S!!
I found some today ( apologies to anyone living in Truro as I cleared the shelf of them!) different package but the same seedy crackers inside and still 0.1G carb per cracker. IMG_8062.jpg

I just came back on to say the same! They are the same as the Olinas available through Heylo ( and other suppliers) but its so nice just to be able to pick them up without having to order. But they are now £2.75 a packet. They were £1.95 when this thread started in Sept 2021.
That's 41% inflation!

Olinas are lovely, but not if I eat too many :banghead:

Good to see you here.
Interestingly they are not the same as Olinas. I looked closely at both sets of ingredients and the new most recent M and S ones use psyllium husk as binder whereas the olinas ones also use an artificial thickener Hydroxy Propyl Distarch Phospate and although low carb at 7.1 carbs per 100g. M and S are much lower at 1.8 carbs per 100g and have no odd ingredients in them. I'm planning to switch to the M and S ones if I can find when shopping on Tuesday. The M and S ones are also pricer though!
Ps did spot them on Ocado so if not in store may do an online Ocado this week! I get Olinas from Waitrose £2.20 per pack.

Shhh! Don’t tell everyone!
I tried some of these a couple of weeks ago. Two or three , with a few slices of cheese really do make a decent meal. Couldn’t eat more than three, they are very filling, and no spike in BG that I would get from other savoury crackers. I actually prefer these to any others. I even prefer them to a packet of crisps, which is the main carb I crave.
Stocking up with some more this week.

Dang! Forgot to get any today, though I did get some of the 3 ingredient beef meatballs to shove in the freezer for emergencies.

Interesting! I hadn't spotted the differences.
Just moved to Olina when there was no alternative.
Just doing a side by side I see Olinas are 80g weight per packet and M&S a whopping (in comparison!) 130g. . Might try a blind taste test one day.
My home made ones are good but don't keep as well, they tend to get a bit soft.
So glad the M&S ones are back. I wondering if the formulation is the same. I might have a pic of the old packet somewhere...

The plot thickens.
Same ingredients 2021 to 2026 yet different nutritional values!

Although there is an extra ingredient in earlier ones I note fruit extracts on first version from the ingredients list so maybe as not on current ones could be why carbs are lower now?

Luckily, the differences aren't too great to worry about.
I don't suppose anyone has a cracker fron 2021 to do a taste test against the new ones ... :D

I have very few of the new ones left let alone the old ones!
Had a horrible surprise today in M&S - the shelf was empty, and when I asked about them I was told there were none to be had in the whole region..So I might have single handedly eaten all the seedy crackers in Cornwall!

My local M&S had empty space on the shelf where they ought to have been, too, today.
I think I will have to go on an expedition covering a wider area tomorrow. The craving for these is bigger than the craving for any other sort of food.

I also had my second disappointing cracker experience. I went to Brum with hope after not finding them in Kidderminster last week. I couldn't find them but on asking was directed to the shelf which of course was empty. The guy helping me scanned label and said none in warehouse either!
I checked Ocado when home and they are now showing as out of stock there too in my area. They clearly didn't make a big enough order!
think we need to head to where @Rachox found a big display - looked a impressive amount - did they all go there?
I've seen them on a fair few Facebook posts so they have clearly gone viral! @DJC3 we should have kept quiet! Looks like Olinas for me!

This is what happened last time, then they disappeared all together until now. They do do “seasonal rotations” apparently, my hubby likes the pickled red onion slices but they only have them certain times of the year, usually summer/autumn as according to the girl I spoke to about them last year they consider them a BBQ accompaniment??
