struggling big time

Glad you spoke to the manager. Let us know what happens.

I am the same! It’s too cold, dark and wet to exercise after work. Roll on spring!!!

Feel relieved that I saw him.
I always call for any kind of results.
If it says no action required, I will still call to make an appointment with the DN, as I feel I need some help

Ally, a print out is much better than anything said verbally about results. (and you know what happened last time you spoke to a receptionist) You can see at a glance on a print out how you are doing, including all the other bits and bobs they may have done. I really do advise you to ask for one. Then you can ask for an appointment with the DN with all the knowledge you need in black and white.

Yes I will ask for a print out

I have just called my surgery for my blood test result.
One was 7.2 which is a little up from my last one which was 6.7.
I was expecting it to be alot higher and gp has requested an appointment for me to see the DN. They will send the appointment by post.
The other result, relating to diabetes was 56 and gp said no action required with that one.
So am a little confused by the two different numbers

The 7.2% and the 56 are the same thing, just different measurement units. The 7.2% is the old way of measuring. The 56 is the way most labs have been measuring since about 2011. Either way, it means your average levels are 8.9mmol/mol as per what our meters say. Absolutely great the doctor has requested an app withe the DN. You can now get all your questions written down and prepared.

Did you ask for a print out??????

Not asked for a print out as I rang the surgery but when I am next there, I will request it

Don't expect too much from a practice dn but I hope she is lovely in her manner.

You have been through the wringer with this one....hope you have a positive, helpful time with your DN and that she will actually listen to what you have to say.
