struggling big time

Glad you spoke to the manager. Let us know what happens.

For me its less exercise in this dam awful weather hun. Mine aren't as good either at mo.
I'm fighting with my fbgs as my routine before bed is different. Insulin therapy doesn't fix this problem but you may need more medical support at the moment. See GP when there is an appointment free hun.
Remember be assertive with him/her. They are human and may even have diabetes too.
Because of less walking I'm needing more insulin which.......adds more weight. I'm taking heart as everyone adds weight Dec/Jan as routine has changed.
I'm like you it takes me ages to pick up my momentum with diet and walking in these dark, miserable and long nights.
Double check with GP your vit d is still OK hun.

I've nearly got a tight hold of increasing bgs as the day progresses. Are you testing more too? You did get free test strips right?

I am the same! It’s too cold, dark and wet to exercise after work. Roll on spring!!!

Good that he was making notes. He isn't in a position to comment to be honest - he needs to speak with the people concerned (the Receptionist and the GP) before making a comment. Do you feel you were given enough time to say everything you needed to?

Good luck with the HbA1c - when you ring for the results please ask for a print out and decide for yourself if anything is wrong - don't rely on someone contacting you.

Big hugs.
Feel relieved that I saw him.
I always call for any kind of results.
If it says no action required, I will still call to make an appointment with the DN, as I feel I need some help

Ally, a print out is much better than anything said verbally about results. (and you know what happened last time you spoke to a receptionist) You can see at a glance on a print out how you are doing, including all the other bits and bobs they may have done. I really do advise you to ask for one. Then you can ask for an appointment with the DN with all the knowledge you need in black and white.

Yes I will ask for a print out

I have just called my surgery for my blood test result.
One was 7.2 which is a little up from my last one which was 6.7.
I was expecting it to be alot higher and gp has requested an appointment for me to see the DN. They will send the appointment by post.
The other result, relating to diabetes was 56 and gp said no action required with that one.
So am a little confused by the two different numbers

The 7.2% and the 56 are the same thing, just different measurement units. The 7.2% is the old way of measuring. The 56 is the way most labs have been measuring since about 2011. Either way, it means your average levels are 8.9mmol/mol as per what our meters say. Absolutely great the doctor has requested an app withe the DN. You can now get all your questions written down and prepared. :)

Did you ask for a print out??????

Not asked for a print out as I rang the surgery but when I am next there, I will request it
