struggling big time

Am home now. Well sort of good outcome.
As usual was 40 minutes late going in.
Explained everything, I couldn,t stop.
He has upped the gabapentin. He said to see what physio says tomorrow, and to emphasise falling over and to see if or what walking aids I need. If I get no joy from physio then to see gp again.
Talked about my dry mouth and hoarseness when talking. I did explain since stopping the bladder med that dry mouth is a bit better.
I need to see how that goes over the next month to 6 weeks then to go back. Then he will review where or what to do next.
Thank you all for help and encouraging me to go

Well done Ally. You're making it happen.

Great news. So pleased for you.

Hey @ally1 kudos for a job well done and you deserve a rest - that kind of appointment is exhausting! Keep at it and hopefully Physio will be helpful as well when you have that appointment. Blessings/L

Ally, let us know how it goes with the Physio. It can be pretty frustrating trying to explain to docs and therapists things that only happen once in a while. I was at one neurologist who was patiently testing me and all of a sudden, one of the muscle seizing up things i had talked about many times, started happening. On that occasion, the muscles in the feet made them move sideways, painfully and the toes upward, both of them in slightly different directions. She kind of tested it, saw that the feet was painfully fixed in strange ways. She mentioned it. I couldn't speak. She asked me was I waiting to speak when it is less painful? I just looked at her and tears came. She then said "You've been telling me about this for about five years." I nodded. "And I finally saw it." I nodded again.

Most useful thing I did for a similar issue to yours was to do some balance equipment therapy. By doing balance therapy, my overall balance improved along with the dizzyness.
Thank you.
I did see a Physio a couple of months ago and she referred me for a balance test but I got refused it.
I am not hopeful that tomorrow's appt will amount to anything.
I do use one walking stick but I still fall with that

Did they say why they refused you a balance test.

@ally1 - If you can relate your story to the physio, like you did to the Doc today, you'll be doing fine, and from reading your post, the Doc wants to know about it if you're not happy with the outcome.

Even if I had only read that sentence I would see that your Doc wants to help you,................ at last!

It really would be so good if you could have had your turning pint with him, and could build a much better relationship.

Fingers crossed for you.
