Thanks Rachox.I take a simple vitamin C and zinc combo (Tesco own brand orange effervescent ones), said to help the immune system rather than vitamin C alone. I started taking it years ago when I was getting so many really bad colds every winter. I (touch wood) very rarely get colds now and when I do they are very mild.
Thanks Oldvatr, Off to have a look now.I used a zinc and magnesium combo. It contained chelated versions of these metals so they get absorbed easily. It helped reduce my sugars by about 1 mmol.

I have actually been on Zinc sulfate as a prescribed medication for the last 30 years. This was due to many blood blisters in my mouth and a few elsewhere. The diagnosis came from Guy's in London. It had nothing to do with diabetes then, when I was about 35 and have only been officially diabetic for a couple of years. I also take colecalciferol (Vit D), and Ferrous sulfate. I would suggest before taking any supplements that you need to have a reason why, and seek medical advice. Also, if you are diabetic and you need such supplements on prescription they will be freeDoes anyone supplement their zinc?
If you do, could you suggest which you take and why? I'm at the beginning of my research.
Thanks!

Veruccas and Skin Tags Cure
Verrucas and Skin Tags are a common problem, but one that did not go away easily for me. I had tried both Salicylic Acid and Cryotherapy, with little effect. What I did not know was that whether you get verrucas or not depends upon your immune system a lot of the time.
Soon afterwards I was trying a treatment that is supposed to prevent you catching the common cold, namely 1000 milligrams of Vitamin C with Zinc twice a day. I found that the Vitamin C with Zinc gave my immune system enough of a boost to eliminate my verrucas and skin tags without further treatment. And that saved a lot of time and money for me.
Other people I have met online say that it is the Zinc in the tablets that have the effect, they were brave enough to take the discovery further.
The thread title is about supplementing zinc and though there are some mentions of zinc and magnesium you might get a better response on a thread with magnesium in the title. Would you like me or another mod to move your post to its own thread?Hi Guys - I just recently brought some Magnesium Citrate tablets, been 2 days on these. Apparently aid digestion and help regulate Sugar Levels. Anyone else have a good experience by taking Magnesium being a T2?
All good, no big deal. ThanksThe thread title is about supplementing zinc and though there are some mentions of zinc and magnesium you might get a better response on a thread with magnesium in the title. Would you like me or another mod to move your post to its own thread?
