Bit frustrated this morning.

Yesterday’s food:

Breakfast 7.30, 9am
2 x coffee, one latte, one Americano (10g carbs)

lunch 11.30
2 slices protein bread
Ham
Cream cheese
Salad
200g Greek yoghurt
50g blueberries
Total carbs: 30g

snack (was feeling hungry at 4pm, bg 4.4)
1oz peanuts (5g carbs)

dinner (7pm)
Two chicken thighs
Mixed salad
Chickpea, cucumber and feta Salad
Total carbs 25g

My fasting BG yesterday morning was 5.1

This morning I woke up with a bad dream at 3am and my BG was 5.0. I managed to go to sleep and woke up at 6am and my BG was 7.2!

This morning i have checked it three times and it is staying at 7-7.5 even though I haven’t eaten anything. Anyone have any thoughts as to why?

How is your sleep? Are you monitoring sleep? How is exercise day before? I found if you exercise too little or too much my FBG goes up. You need to check every day and try to adjust what works for your body.

Usually my sleep isn’t that bad, 6-7 hours per night and I don’t often wake up during. But I did sleep quite poorly last night probably as I have a busy day later today. Exercise yesterday was only cleaning and a walk to the post box. Usually I swim 2km 3 times a week but I’m recovering from an ear infection and not allowed back to the pool til Sunday. My BGs didn’t go up at all when I had the infection! I check regularly- 8 times a day.

Breakfast-
Black coffee x 2 at 6.30 and 8.30 am

lunch-
Coleslaw, chicken thighs, chickpea salad, piece of cheese (30g carbs) at 12.15pm

snack-
Peanuts 1oz (6g carbs). 17.45pm

dinner-
Cauliflower rice, paneer tikka masala , blueberries (30g carbs) 19.30pm

blood sugars ran high, between 7 and 8 all day (Usually run between 5 and 7 eating this kind of food)

This morning, fasting 6.2 and sugars seem to be back to usual pattern. Yesterday was quite a stressful day with work so maybe that’s why my glucose ran higher.
