Went to bed last night at 5.2 after a great day of eating low carb.
First thing this morning 7.2. No idea why or how to fix it. Maybe I'll have to start taking meds just to combat the high morning readings. Dawn phenomenon is REALLY frustrating me.

I found that my high morning readings disappeared when my weight went down. Don't know whether this helps or not.

I can pretty well tell you what my fbg is going to be tomorrow as I had fish and chips for dinner that was two hours ago and my blood sugars are still rising.

Now this morning is odd...

Had a bad huge food day yesterday just under 4000 calories a lot of nuts.. these seem to be my nemesis and I can't resist once I have started. Macadamias and peanuts(ok not really nuts and also quite carby) so I ended up having 32g of carbs which is probably double my usual amount and woke up to
5.0

Haven't got on the scales yet.. but don't think I have turned into Jason Wittrock yet but will report ketones and weight later..

Hi. I've not been on this thread for a long time. This morning's reading was 7.5mmols. I did have morning levels down below 6mmols and was averaging 6.8 over the last 6 months through a low carb diet and was well in control until recent steroid treatment for only 4 days. Levels shot up to 17.5mmols, averaging 13 or so. Hopefully, I can get it back down again. Very frustrating!

This could be fun...
I am doing a fasting and feasting experiment this week
yesterday had a friend over for lunch
Eggs (2) fried, bacon 5 rashers and 3 high meat sausages with mushrooms fried in butter.
Bag of pork scratchings and some leftover cold lamb as still felt peckish mid afternoon.
In the evening for dinner
1 large avocado
3 slices of Serrano ham wth melted Raclette cheese
Bits of cheddar and white stilton
Some home roasted macadamias.
I calculate 3750 calories 297g of fat

FBG this morning 4.8 the lowest this week...
