I've learned that if I want to have the same readings everyday, it's easier if I eat the same thing every day. (Luckily, I love routine)
6.5 at 6 a.m. (I wake up at 5.30 and in the gym by 6)
Gym 6-7 - treadmill and strength training (think strongman training)
Yesterday's food:
7.30: 4 egg whites and one yolk omelette with tomatoes and a big pile of spinach
9:00 snack: two oat and dark chocolate bars and two bananas
12:30 4 egg whites and one yolk omelette with chick peas, kidney beans, tomatoes and butter beans
6 p.m. same again
8 p.m. second work of the day - 40 minute walk)
9 p.m.: protein yogurt milkshake with cinnamon

I repeat this 7 days a week - I swap in tinned sardines on Saturday and roast beef on Sunday for lunch.

T2 since Oct 15, Metformin,(timed release) exercise, diet and even more exercise. It's working but there is one small problem - nothing's perfect - I have diverticular disease - I live with almost constant lower abdominal pain - like I've been cut open beolow the belt line. (The heavy weight lifting helps with pain tolerance

With regard to the sugar dump from exercising - it rarely goes up more than 7.5 by the end of the work out and then settles back down again
