Type 1's What is your BG in the morning?

Ooh and glad it's going in the right direction Robert. Weird how you've suddenly run higher this last few days. Do you think it's just basal needs changing?

Hi Pickle

I've been a bit more sedentary these last few days so it could be that. I've upped my Lantus by 2 units am and pm so will see how that pans out. Tha's a rum'un ;)

Well hope that helps. Dew yew keep a-troshin'! (I used to think these things were made up, but people really do still say them! I work in a pharmacy and some of the 75/80 year olds who come in throw some great phrases into conversation!)

4.0 this morning!

BGs yesterday evening were stuck up in double digits despite my correction boluses. In desperation, I took a bolus of Humalog (as the Novorapid seemed to be having have no effect) which finally brought me down to 5.9 before bed, so now I'm suspecting the Novorapid.

Another good one Loey! Wow what a difference Robert! Have you been using the same cartridge of Novorapid since the probs started? Guess it could be that then! Keeps us on our toes doesn't it?!

5.7 for me this morning. I'm on 20% more insulin than last week but still a bit hit and miss during the day :?

Hi Pickle - I changed the novorapid cartridge over the weekend because I thought the first one was bad but it seems this one is too. Maybe the whole pack of 5 is off although I thought it had started OK. Mystery

But the Humalog seems to be working for me today instead, so I'll stick with that for a while.
5.7 is a good number for you  Fare yew well t'gather ;)

Good one Loey !

6.4 for me this morning. Have been unwell the last few days and fighting to keep sugars up. So pleased with that this morning :)

Thank you shop. That's interesting. I was ill recently and my bs seemed to rise prob. due to sugar free cough medicine and antibiotics. So, it can obviously go either way then?
Hope you feel really well soon.

Loey

I was 4.8 before I went to bed so had a small cookie (8g carb) This was 2hours after evening meal, so I worried that I may drop later and was tired and wanted to go sleep rather than wait and retest.

I was 7.4 this morning. I wonder, should I have not bothered with the cookie or did I do the right thing and my lovely liver dump also notched me up?

At least it's not the 9 /10 plus that I used to see up to a few weeks ago. :D

3g of carbs raises me up 1mmol so I would have expected the rise you got if all else was level. Eexcept I would also have the liver dump to contend with

Evening all! Hope you're feeling better shop, and good numbers again for you Loey! Glad things looking up for you Robert.

4.4 for me this morning. Did a fasting test overnight and tested every 90 mins (yes I AM tired!) and found I was having to eat a jelly baby every couple of hours to stay in the 5's. So I'll be reducing dose tonight!

Hi Pickle,

Thanks, still feeling a bit off, thanks for asking. Bet you are pooped!
Hope you have a good nights sleep tonight..xxx

6.5 today. 5.8 to 6.8 every day without fail. Putting up dose has no impact and neither, based on last night, does eating lasagne and some fruit at 10.30 just before. Odd.
