I take mine around 10pm, the same time as I used to take my Lantus. And I am down to 14 units of Tresiba compared to 22 units of Lantus, that took my ages to get right
Thanks @porl69 I'm taking mine around the same time but went from 22u lantus to 17u Tresiba and reduced to 16 last night as I have a drop on a morning it would seem, early days and I'm not moaning :) but thinking aloud....

Give the reduction 2-3 days before you will notice any difference......that's what I found anyway

Afternoon peeps,

Well after a day of reasonable BG had a 4.7 around 9pm, had a biscuit, then at 10.15 just before bed ooooops down to 2.8. panic kicks in and shovelled sugar into a cup of coffee and a few more biccies. Woke at 2.30 with 17.2, so correction and still at 12.2 at 7 am

Correction dose and a brekkie of 2 small slices of toast, 22 g in total and poached eggs and at 1pm still sitting at 10, seriously!!!!!!

Ah well more correction dose with lunch heres hoping it goes down

Hope you are all having a good day

It’s so frustrating, isn’t it, when that happens. You fear it falling further and having a nasty night time hypo and then it kicks you in the teeth in the morning. At least you’re not still lingering in cold damp bedclothes and wondering where the heck you are. Look on the bright side of life - always

When this happens I see it as 100% proof that I’m most definitely, without doubt, a T1 diabetic. Just in case it had slipped my mind for a moment.:banghead::banghead:
Hope you get back on track during the day.

Evening all. Steadish day with my mate considering we’re on holiday. Hovering around 10 most of day.
Had a “chat” with my conveyancing solicitor earlier todayo_O. Managed to keep “ nasty gym diabetic “ in check ( just ) and went down the” nice grandad diabetic “ route.
3 email updates and verbal apology so far today. 2 phone calls from estate agents, just to “ check how things are progressing “ and “ we will be chasing up buyers solicitor “.
Still not entirely happy but a little less likely to go face to face with these people.;)

Leccy blanket is heaven when this happens (if only it had a refrigerate setting...)

The Omnipod is very good news @Mel dCP you must be pleased. It happened very quickly, compared to what others have been experiencing.

Everywhere should be like that.

I’m thrilled! I do feel very lucky, but there’s been a lot of work behind the scenes on my part - logging absolutely every dose and carb on my Libre scanner, up to 18 injections a day when I’ve needed a lot of corrections all through the day and night, so I could upload it to Diasend for my team to see, for half a year now. Comprehensive data has been the key to getting this - I take my temperature every morning to try and track my cycle because of the monthly hormone induced insulin resistance; I measure my intake of not just carbs but protein as well, as I need to bolus for that an hour or two after the meal. I’ve also had to work out a set of ratios for the different times I get dawn phenomenon, it’s different doses when it hits at 3am to when it hits at 7... I am more than happy to help anyone who want to collect data to strengthen their case for a pump.

Initially they just looked at the Libreview graphs and said I was doing fine, as it rarely went over 10mmol - for some reason all the meticulous logging on the scanner hadn’t uploaded because the data from when I used my phone to scan overrode it with no data (I hadn’t recorded it on both). It was only when I uploaded my scanner remotely into their own Diasend system that they could see the gazillions of injections I’ve been having to do to get even that much control. Six months might seem quick, but it’s been very intensive! My whining on here about how frustrated I’ve been getting with my issues have only been the top of the iceberg...

So in a way it’s happenned very quickly in the same way that a band who have been playing grotty gigs for ages get “overnight success” :)
