Mmmmm, yummmmm ! A new vegan bakery (they are also gluten free) that advertised a trial box through an online vegetarian magazine. A Sprinkle Buttermilk Cake with White Chocolate Frosting Donut, Peanut Butter Brownie, Chocolate Chipwich Cookie, Oatmeal Chai Sandwich Cookie, Karma Cake in a Jar and a Pink Cake Pop. All strictly vegan. I just had half of the donut. Yum!!!! Melt in your mouth donut!!!!!

Now for the complete guessing game of dosing, dosing for unknown items and gluten free which usually means higher carbs and I'm not used to gluten free desserts ..............it'll be a trick. The Taro donut they sale here at least will give me some prior experience for that...maybe..lol!

And an appointment online at the end of next week with my endo who will review my graphs lol. Uh, excuse me but ignore last weeks graphs as I splurged ordering from a bakery...................................

We wheeled our Jeep on Friday through a forest. Looking to maybe repeat this tomorrow. Friday was dark, snowy, and very, very cold- hard to keep the cabin of the Jeep warm as we basically idled up, down, and around obstacles. Hopefully tomorrow will be more cooperative in the weather department.

I’m excited to fit the Jeep with a big light bar this next Wednesday for running at night.

I had the other half of the Donut today. When I eat sweets of any amount, fruit is always okay but usually I eat half a cookie or a small amount of something....................now I don't want to even look at another one of those donuts. The sweetness is staying with me and I had already gave my hubby the icing filled cookie as I was never a fan of those.

The taro donuts here are much nicer as the cake part doesn't taste sweet and it only has a thin layer of icing or sugar sprinkles on top. This donut had a heavy layer of icing on top and I think it was too much. I think I'll offer the cake pop which is layered in icing, the other cookie and the cake in a jar to someone I know here that is a vegan (and younger and a surfer so she'll burn it off ) I will keep the peanut butter brownie as I love brownies and hopefully it's not too sweet.

I feel like the kid that ate too much candy at Halloween...................

Ah food @Marie 2 . Yesterday being Burn's Night I had a full carb haggis, neeps tatties and a dram. Glorious but had to have a little guess about insulin and ended up dosing too much so orange juice during the night. It was worth it.
    Is it light outside yet?

Morning all - having a bit of a late (for me) morning but there are no online classrooms to attend to today (work has been set, we are on hand via e-mail for help, so the massive backlog of recording what we do to prove we are earning our pay and justifying our existence can be tackled whilst answering any such e-mails.). I maintain the nightmare I had about the day's paperwork which is a rollover of about 4 years worth of administrative incompetency and is an example of how not to do it counts as the first hour's work.

Monday was a snow day, but all that now means is those who were meant to be in the physical building were required to join in the online work. Yesterday we were back in the building, but the rain we had in the afternoon, on top of slushy snow made the attempted walk home treacherous. An hour to do, in distance terms, what normally takes 20 minutes. And several stops whilst I contemplated the terrain.

I arrived home to a bleeping fire alarm. Which I dealt with once the 4.0 I arrived home on was a more sensible number for stepladder work... I'm impressed the battery had lasted almost 2 years past its best before date. It had probably lasted 4 years by my reckoning as I had been thinking it had been a while since I had changed them, but as the alarms were still working (found out last week when I forgot the toasted was still at "frozen" setting) I'd not been too concerned.

Even if it was true only babies develop T1, what does he think happens to all those children when they grow up? Do they all die? Or are they magically cured on their 18th birthday?
    What an idiot.

I was looked over by a nurse as i was invited to sit down at an appointment. Actually, she literally peered round me from her own seat at her desk.
Sitting back up she blurted with a gushing smile. "you don't look type two." I responded by saying, "neither did my dad."

"Oh!" she exclaimed, "was he type one?"

    Start the car....:hilarious:

It is very irritating. I had a chiro 4 years ago tell me I could be cured by some herbs and my sugars could be normalized as I didn't get my diabetes as a kid. No amount of explaining was changing her mind. That any medical personal is still running around that uneducated is scary. And very maddening when you run across it.
