That’s cheerful: the bubble’s on it’s way. Hip hip hip hooray. Another tech fest’s imminent @Jaylee

Yep, I'm a patient guy.. The corespondence was specific with "your order from Bubblan." &. Wot not.
So I knew it wasn't the usual. "We tried to deliver your package. The one you ordered, but you weren't in.. So if you would like to click here to arrange a resend? Unfortunately, we will have to take a payment for a resend....." Scam!

We will soon find out if this works with the Watlaa.. If not. I will have one on charge whilst the other is bridging with xdrip on my aging phone I have no plans to replace either devices. (Though the Bubble battery life is reported to be pretty good.)
I've already found a workaround with the L2 algorithm on the phone Xdrip..
At the moment the Watlaa is just a nice basic timepiece.

Morning all, some heavy weather here overnight, things blown over in the garden yesterday afternoon, little bit of sun this morning so fingers crossed.

@urbanracer what's the update on your thumb? Improving hopefully!

Not being able to eat as many chocolate digestives as I used to.

Thanks @hh1. I am off to see the Orthopedic specialist today but judging by the unpleasant odour and my erratic blood sugars the infection is still there.

When I had the dressing changed on Sunday the guy in A+E suggested I might need to have the wound washed out under local anaesthetic.

Still trying to work out how to do everyday things with the reduced ability of my dominant hand. It's weird when you cannot even hold a pen to sign your own name.

Sorry to hear that, it's doubly damming with T1when you have to deal with bg all over the place as a result. Here's hoping the hospital will get you sorted this time!

OK, progression @Fairygodmother .

There has been an update on the Watlaa app on my phone? A firmware version 0.5.5? For Bubble Diabox.
Just updated the watch.
I just need the Bubble to show up through the door & we find out if we're onto something... :)

Urb,

Sorry to read about your misfortunes with this. I'm still optimistic that this is the worst before it gets better.

Best wishes mate.

Thanks Jaylee, hope you're right!

I went to see the Orthopedics consultant yesterday and I have to carry on as I am and see him again on Friday. Not sure what the point is of going so soon but I'll do as I'm told!

Sorry I didn’t reply before this, I came down with a UTI, again, and was feeling too challenged to be sensible.
I must get a watlaa app on my phone too if there’s no escape from the Libre 2, and Diabox is what @Antje77 uses isn’t it? The one with voice messages that are useful if you’re driving, or your hands are deep in gloves, soil, clay, clinging on to a toddler etc etc.
It’s really useful to have your experiences to follow, thank you.

@urbanracer, I don’t like the news of you being able to know from the smell of your thumb that it’s still infected. If it were me I’d be setting up camp in the docs’ offices, blocking the door and not letting them leave until I’d been referred to a bigger hospital, preferably a teaching hospital. How far are you from one?

Where I live in West Sussex, the hospitals keep merging and the latest news is a name change to University Hospital Sussex. I don't have a lot of options unless I go private.

What I find perplexing is that my GP's staff and the people in A+E look at my thumb and tell me that I need further attention but the consultant saunters into the room and glances at it, says it looks fine and leaves.

I have to be better prepared for tomorrow's appointment.

Counting the days, my last Libre 1 ends in 6 days and I'm still not exactly sure what I need to download to use Diabox and see my numbers directly on my phone.
I hope I can get it to work within a couple of days after I start :)
If it works, and I like it, I'll come pestering you with questions about smartwatches :D

I only know the watlaa, and I’m still using Libre 1, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. It seems that @Jaylee has found a fix with the watlaa.
