@helensaramay out the blue the doc phoned me tonight, she knows I don’t meet the criteria but still wants to put me through for further discussion with the team for getting the Libre. Must be my charismatic ways or failing that number of hypos, I get! Team meetings on wednesdays so might hear tomorrow or next Wednesday. Still not holding my breath but amazed all the same!

I am getting my Libre on June 27th, it wasn't without a bit of fight though, had the 2 week trial, talked to my DSN about my trial data Monday just gone and she said, 'see you on the 27th, I loved using it

Morning chaps. Sat on pins with my lovely new mug waiting to see where they send me today, and hoping I got my foot on the floor dose right. Got my group 2 DVLA medical this afternoon with their specialist - it’s the last hurdle to getting my provisional ambo licence. Keep it crossed for me...

5.5 this morning, and got a dental check up at 8.50 a.m. My dentist and his wife left the practice and went home (he was from South Africa and his wife was Polish - thank Brexit for the loss of two really good dentists from an NHS practice who before all that were going to raise a family in this country etc).

Today I see a very overworked chap who is new to me. Always a bit scared of new dentists....

Morning all, according to Libre when I woke up bg was 2.6; I knew that wasn't right, it was 4.8 on my meter. New sensor last night, right arm, which side did I wake up on? I wonder how long you have to lie on a sensor until it thinks you're dead like @helensaramay was

@Robinredbreast I agree with Mel, hope the bands work.

@Mel dCP good luck, though I'm guessing you don't need luck. I like your mug but I'd have to steer clear; I went to an event on Saturday and by about 11.30 I'd had 3 (not large) cups of coffee. Kept feeling weird and shaky, checking bg, all fine - then realised the coffee wasn't decaf. I haven't drug anything caffeinated for over a year and was horrified at the reaction. I won't be going back to caffeine, though good luck to those of you who prefer it.

It has stopped raining here after bucket loads yesterday. So In Bloom for an hour and a half, then a quick change, catch the train into Leeds and meet some very good friends for lunch. That gives me tomorrow to get ready for our holiday to The Isle of Mull which begins Friday. Whoop!

On which note my MM decided it didnt want to talk to Xdrip last night as I got into bed!!!! Gave it a scan with my phone and was at 7.7 BUT nowt on my watch and NO alarms. Woke this morning to a 2.8 finger prick confirmed.....took the MM off, reset it and hey presto its working again. I felt really lost without it!!
Currently sat on a healthy 8

I was amazed at how simple it was. I use Glimp and it was just a tick box and changing the notification sounds so If I go too low at night it will have a chance of waking me

Thanks - my German short-haired pointer, now 9, still runs herself to a standstill. I think all dogs with that much energy should be duty bound to donate some to their owners

Back from the dentist. He was lovely - really nice, and really good. Didn't hurt me once, not even when he scaled my front lower teeth, and I am such a wuss at the dentist that I'm hyper-alert for even a hint of pain. Not a twinge or twang.

Also, one of the receptionists is a brand new vegan - just a month old - and she was busily picking my brains so I was glad I went in more ways than one. I gave her my favourite cooking website addy and forgot - drat - to tell her about the Womble. Ah well. The Womble is the Vegan Womble website - lists of purposely and accidentally vegan foodstuffs in supermarkets. Very useful if you're not sure.
