Sometimes I wish we had an "aaaaaargh" smiley in the little list at the bottom of posts!
Big award to @porl69 for holding his tongue! (Don’t ask how he did it). It’s a shame there isn’t a better name for each type .
I’m lost for words, I could go on a long rant too but it takes strength to hold your tongue, well done you @porl69
I’m glad everyone could do a frappe or a latte or tea, I could add some cheeky oreos
@porl69 I hope your head doesn't hurt too much after hitting it against that brick wall!
I confess before I was diagnosed, I knew very little about diabetes and the different types. However, I had no one in my family or amongst my friends with any type of diabetes. I didn't have a father who had cured his type 1 through diet and exercise.
They're my hypo food - wait till next time I'm hypo
Fantastic choice, mine too Oreo thins, original or extra thick/double cream? I can’t decide.
Just original - they're vegan and so am I
Hell yeah, I heard the old school candy like refresher bars are vegan now too but that is getting a bit more cheeky.
We call them disgustobars and eat them on walks. When it's cold, they shatter and when it's warm they stick to the plastic. We like them.
Not having candy bars - my teeth are my friends and I want them to stay with me into an indecent old age!
Mint and Birthday Party (caramel and sprinkles) are available too!
I think she could tell how cheesed off I was.....I hardly ever roll my eyes BUT there was a LOT of eye rolling AND also interrupting when she was speaking. MAYBE its the cure we are looking for
If we could harness the curative power of ignorance, diabetes would be a thing of the past.
(Or something like that.)
Home. Hurray. Weather is beautiful out there but I am totally cream crackered and all I want to do is pretend I am @helensaramay avvie....
I think you said you now have 6 days off (unless your boss clicks his fingers). So you have 6 days of energy to absorb from your couch during the rest of today.
That'll do me nicely!
@porl69 . So now you know..
I had a similar chat a few weeks back. A type 2 was informing me that I was lucky on account I could just inject insulin and eat anything.
I smiled safe in the knowledge that diabetes wasn’t her biggest problem.
One of those good days where minimum effort has been needed to keep everything in range.
Going to dine al fresco shortly. Chicken Fajitas. I reckon 10g carbs should cover 3 of them and maybe a good squirt of insulin might do the trick. Easy peasy this type 1 malarkey
Welcome to the go to thread on the forum for the more discerning type 1.
Hi, I had another good day, if somewhat louder
I have made a faux pas, I have downloaded the Casual Escort app ( school that is lol ) and I put Wednesday and Thursday down, morning and afternoon, but I didn't start until Thursday and only did Friday morning so I have rang transport coordinator, no reply from the mobile, so I left a message, oh dear oh dear..........oh dear
