One of the dogs stole my raw broccoli and ate part of it and hid the rest. I know because he ate it next to me on the couch. I'll have a look in the garden but I'm afraid I need to change dinner plans.

Welcome to the thread @MeiChanski .

Fortunately, some of my students wanted a quiet, sit-down afternoon and working through my job list rather than the workshops job list which means the paperwork pile has been conquered enough for me not to have to bring some home over the half-term, my (students) job list is shorter than it was, and I believe the workshop job list is also much shorter. I even had a few minutes to admire the work going on on the latest car being pulled apart... We like pulling cars apart, we do. (No, don't even ask about putting them back together again, it's not happening!)

I am proud to announce, I think, that I had to get someone to drink up the older emergency can of full-fat Coke in the work place fridge, as the "Use by Date" is the end of the month. I seem to have got morning walking/breakfast/insulin sussed for now as I've not had an arrive at work on a 3.5 for months now. I am, however, not taking any risks and a new can has replaced it.

I had to look twice at "Casual Escort" and then remembered what @Robinredbreast's new job really is.

Next time I question going to the gym because my arms ache, please remind me that sawing an old woody smokeless smoke bush down in my garden is not the same as "giving my arms a rest"!
At least the bush is not there next time it happens.

Been a quiet but more productive than I expected day ... and I don't just mean with garden destruction ... I mean pruning.
Ticked a few things off my work to do list and still hand time for a trip to Morrissons.

And, today's useless fact is one of the reasons why hayfever is on the increase - blame the urban planners. They decided they wanted trees but they didn't want the hassle of the flowers and fruit and berries littering the sidewalks (these were American planners) so they planted male trees and avoided female trees. And, of course, male trees are the ones that create pollen. So there is proportionally more pollen in the air than trees in the cities.

That is simply the best way to describe them tbh :D
True, we'll take extra oreos :hilarious:
You're indeed speaking my language, I did try birthday cake and it was interesting, I didn't know what Americans were thinking. :hilarious:
I'd think we'd make a lot of money off people's ignorance when it comes to talking about it. I'll put a £1 in for every time they say they have a "cure" for diabetes which is some herbs. :hilarious:
    Thank you, :)
Thank you :) Could I swap my university work load for your students work load? :hilarious:

I think my eyes didn't move for a moment or so, so startled were they at the thought of the Casual Escort. It's been a long few days...

I think you're better off with your uni work, honest! Nor would you want my lot's attempts at your work. (Or lack of attempt!)

Have to admit to sniggering at Casual Escort.
Also @Robinredbreast aren’t you supposed to a responsible adult onot someone hardly bothered about the kids? Anyway, not sure I’d want a Casual one, definitely well turned out and someone who knew how to deliver the best result (still sniggering).

Coke has a use-by date?! Do the chemicals in it finally dissolve each other then the can?

Well, it's probably a Best Before date, butI'm not getting up to look until I've finished my breakfast, however, I think that is what will happen! Certainly the taste changes, and not for the better, past the date.

Morning everyone, not very sunny from where I am, I guess because I woke up around 4:30am. I had a hypo this morning but all is good now after my cheeky oreos and coke, followed by usual iced coffee and breakfast. I'm hoping to get some studying done and get a nice nap late, maybe an iced coffee top up.

Morning just been catching up. Grandson day yesterday so not much time. Levels are usually worse on a Tuesday as I check and correct less. (I have a lot of respect for Type 1 parents out there who have so much to juggle, and keep themselves fit.) But had a good straight line all day. Whoop! Checked in the night and up to 9 so had a unit and back to sleep. Awoke on a 6, result.
    Welcome to @MeiChanski
Sorry cannot keep up with all the avatar changes, have to keep checking who you all are. Will have to be more imaginative myself.
Mass summer bedding planting today for in bloom. There are only 8 of us and 2 have a funeral to go to, so this could take a while. At least weather is good.
Have a good middle of the week everyone. Oh and apparently it is a bank holiday this weekend. That crept up without me realising.
