I can't see this lasting but I've just had the most stable 2 days I've ever had in 34 years, I had a post swim rise to 10.6 and didn't correct and it just sat at 10.6, standard insulin for the tea I had and it stayed at 10.4, 1.5u correction and it's sat at 8, the biggest swing I've had is from glucose tabs after the pool and it's a polite little slope up or down, none of the Lantus north and south crash or burn swings at all

I'm struggling to convey my absolute shock at what I'm seeing on my meter and I'm wondering if from using Lantus since the early 90s my body has lost its ability to use it properly, is this possible even?

Um, What ? Slept in. Somedays you cannot win. One is either in the frying pan or the fire.
Saying of the Day:
A water tank might cool you off, in midst of a raging bush fire but to linger there is unwise, you might become soup.
See you there next to the carrots !

Morning all high start for me at 12.6 but hardly a surprise as had a late dinner at a friends house and didn’t get home till 12.30, off for a park run this morning to burn that off.. then Harry Potter tour later as it’s my daughters birthday today - not sure who’s more excited her or me :)

Was low last night before the beauty sleep so did not correct for the home made Chinese stir fry.

3 Jaffa cakes plus noodles up at 12.3 and can see from Etch A Sketch it's been going up since before midnight.

Not a disaster, brekky/coffee then need to go the shops then gym, then filter coffee mid morning.

Have a fun day.

@Juicyj Harry Potter World? Know a couple of people who have been and come back with good reviews :)

Morning,

I have had a stable blood sugar of 1 hour and 40 minutes, and 5.9 using Freestyle Libre, real life is probably a bit higher.

It feels so nice. I had a complete zig zag roller coaster ride yesterday evening. I'm going to have to give in.

I really like the disposable pens, because.......well, I'm a bit untidy, and occasionally a pen runs away, and hides, and when I was using cartridges it used to drive me absolutely crazy, when I couldn't find it. So I really like disposable pens, as there is always a spare one in the fridge, just in case.

However, I did an afternoon 1 unit correction, and that was the beginning of my roller coaster ride, which ended about midnight, whereas if I had corrected by just half a unit, it wouldn't have happened.

Going to have to phone the DSN on Monday, and talk to her about a pen with half units.

....@Clivethedrive is a regular visitor...not personally but dropping clients there who all seem to have a wonderful time...

.seem to remember it was your birthday earlier this week ....belated happy birthday wishes from us both:joyful:.....so guess it is a double birthday celebration treat for you and your daughter....:)

Good morning y'all, another flat line thru the night, it may have been up at 12.6 but it was politely flat and soon politely dropped from the bolus when I got up, my neighbours appear to be out so my music system has had a work out to the point where the speaker cones were spraying dust :) :) but you can't beat a bit of Sham 69 to wake up with :)

But anyway have a good weekend!

Well well, a decent BG going to bed at 10.30 last night at 6.8 and it pretty much flat lined all night. Long lie this morning till 9am, whu hu and only 7.6 so more than happy with that.

This had already happened twice earlier this week and I had had a small gin and tonic on each occasion. So Im thinking alcohol makes my control better, lets get gin on the NHS :) Sadly last night no G&T but decemt BG.

Ah well back to drawing board.

Off to do some birdwatching this morning have a good day folks

My brother and SIL used to live in Weston-super-mare, and we 'bumped' into them on a day trip out to Cheddar Gorge, they were both out for a Sunday afternoon stroll, they have both retired now and have moved to Devon.
Somerset is a lovely county.

Morning all, I had a restful undisturbed night, which was lovely. It rained during the night and unusually for me, I didn't hear it ! I am looking for some paperwork, so I decided to clear out the kitchen drawer, but had to have a rest,t haven't found what I am looking for, so I will try the other drawer's over the weekend .................:nailbiting: :nailbiting:
Happy Saturday friends :)

My mother spent the last 33 years of her life in Weston-Super-Mare and him indoors’ family come from there, his grandfather had a jewellers. In the grandfather’s day, before package holidays, Weston was alive during the summer months with music, shows, seafront pleasures and more boat trips than there can be now. I remember when the lido Banksy transformed was a thriving pool and when the piers were thriving too.
The mud, when the tide went out, was always a hazard.

My BS on Levemir was always up and down, on Tresiba now and much more stable readings, still early day's though.

I'm smiling a sarcastic smile right now as I've spiked back to 10.5 after half a breakfast, but a week ago when this happened my shoulders and hips would scream at me but now I'm not feeling that, I'd take a correction dose now in old money but am going to see what happens, planning on the gym but want a lower blood first so am getting on with other chores whilst waiting :)

It was all going so well but hey, that's T1 diabetes.....
