Morning campers.

Well I am still here :chicken:

Stuck 17.5 (carts fit Nova pens) in last night of Tresiba, Degludec or 'Duloc' as it is getting called.

Early part of the night all OK and then it went steadily up when it set one of the High alarms off at 5am :arghh:

In with 5 of Aspisdtra, breakfast with IOB on board add some more insulin in and I'm sat here with another High alarm going off. :***: so in goes more insulin.

Its going to be an 'interesting' week. :meh:

What's your high alarm set at Knikki?

Do dietitians over there have to right to change your insulin ?? Only doctors and nurses educators here in Oz can do that !!
She is a Specialist Diabetic Dietitian, I have been with her for the past 30 months. She is the reason my diabetes is in control. She ACTUALLY cares on what I am doing/not doing. She has got me on the Libre and was instrumental on getting me approved for the pump :). Still bleeding waiting for the pump consultant to get me an appointment. I think yet another email to the dietitian for her to chase up the appointment :)

Thank you @porl69, so a bit different to our Aussie system. Does she need to borrow some big boots so that she can kick down a few doors leading to the pump consultant and impress upon him/her your case ??

Woke up at 2.30 last night with a 11.8 and straight up arrow. Horlicks for bed and didn't bolus enough for it grrrr. So downstairs, tripped over the cat on the stairs, went into the living room to have a greeting from my african grey "flamingo you!!!!!". Correction bolus done, said good night to the parrot, tripped over the stoopid cat yet again and went to back to bed. Awoke to a nice 5 dead :)

Her boots are pretty big lol. She is as annoyed as me over the time it is taking to get me an appointment. I had a letter for the appointment a few months ago on the Tuesday, and the following day another letter come thru cancelling it, saying another appointment will be posted thru shortly. The NHS and shortly are a bit vague??? :)

two lows in the night :( woke up to 5.7 and an arrow trending straight up!!Argh. Feel exhausted already.

Back to work anxiety has kicked in and had a peak in my bloods most days this week :(

@Knikki I wish you all the luck in the world and I feel your pain......

Good morning everyone,

Nothing particularly interesting happening with blood sugar. Seem to have a dip around ten o'clock, which I'm trying to correctly gently, to avoid a high, seem to work ok last night, as far as I can tell, as I started a new sensor, which is, of course, not totally reliable. But, infinitely better than no information at all, just in case anyone is wondering about the value of Freestyle Libre.

Real blood sugar is probably about 7, at the moment, libre says about 5, hopefully those two will get closer to each other during the next few days.

That's the first night, over then. Theoretically, tonight you should have more Tresiba working, and you shouldn't go as high. Hopefully this is going to work.

A guinea pig emoji needs to be inserted here.

9 o’clock rise just about sorted, steady 7.6 and waiting for the fall.
Looking out of the window at the rain and a wet Bernard in the Elder. Wood pigeons are all called Bernard now: I was fed up with them eating the broccoli and had to name them to prevent the bad language offending the neighbours. Who could shout abuse at a bird called Bernard?

I’ve got one of those too, she’s amazing.

Yeah. So I did waaaaaay too much hefty stuff in the garden yesterday, everything hurts and I want to die :D

Late evening rise happened even with no protein or carbs, so I’ve adjusted my basal rate up a bit to counter it, let’s see what happens this evening! I had “bulletproof marmite” for dinner, and I’m still not hungry :)

Depends what you prefix the name Bernard with.. !!

Well i've hit a wall, been yo yo-ing from 7 to 15 since the weekend, last night I did a correction at 14, went to bed and would normally wake in range, but no still high, tried a run this morning, still hasn't come down, so just took a big bolus to see if that can shift it, feels like the insulin has turned to water so if all else fails will do a new set change with new insulin tonight, anyone else feeling completely frustrated today ?! :meh:

Good morning, raining when I got up, but sunny and warm now :) Went to my surgery this morning for my blood pressure appointment and it was cancelled because nurse is off sick. Receptionist did say they phoned my mobile this morning ( I didn't answer as it said private number) so I have now got another one for Monday at 9.20am. I then decided to take my BP on the surgery's machine................ it said Out of Order, must be sick too ;)
ps I had two high readings at the hospital last week, which is rare for me, it's normally 110/120 to 130.
Wishing you all a great Wednesday:)

I woke on a good reading, but my blood pressure appointment was cancelled this morning and I have an appointment at the Job Centre at 1.40pm this afternoon and my stomach is already turning over thinking about it :( so I will update later.
I hope you get your readings down @Juicyj and then the day will get better for you ( you could be starting to come down with something?) Take care X
