Hello folks - glad it's Friday here, been a busy week at work but achieved alot so looking forward to a park run and r&r.

Question - if you're around 4-5 before bed, what do you eat ? I tend to eat a few spoons of greek yoghurt but sometimes will have a bag of crisps and bolus the difference - what does everyone else eat ?
I'm in the chocolate digestive gang. Would go for that if under 6 depending what I'd done in the evening - couch potato, probably wouldn't need anything, two hours catching up on the ironing, definitely would.

Good afternoon all.
@slip, what a PITA about your number plates!
@Cumberland, really pleased you’re the other side of the cataract op and already seeing well!
@Knikki, care to let us know what the cereal devil is?
@Por69 why, oh why, has the NHS forgotten how to do joined up writing!
@Mel dCP, enjoy the gig!
@Robinredbreast, wish I could magic up the perfect job for you and throw in some lovely people to work with - “wand”.
Here I need someone to magic up a new knee, pronto. The limitations of not being able to walk very far and the frequently painful steps are getting me down big time. Still waiting for an appointment with an Orthopaedic Consultant before I can progress to the waiting list for treatment.

Aawww bless you and thank you FG :)

I was in the 4's before bed and I had two grapes last night and I awoke on a 7.7 :)

I thought the interview this afternoon went well, nice and friendly too and she didn't ask my age or 'have I any medical problems' like the last one did on Monday, which is not allowed in an interview as it can be discriminatory.
The manager did say it is a 4 hour contract ( which, apparently, many stores do nowadays) because if the person is no good, not pulling there weight, they can let them go more easily, so no legal aftermath really from the employee, so, I am having to consider those hours, because it's like a red flag going up :wideyed: It's a well known shop that sells acessories for hair, jewelry, beauty, soft toys, ear piercing too.

I left my job as a merchandiser, the one I started in September, because of work colleague changes, so only me there and a newbie too, too much pressure and stress, so I looked for another position. Found one at a new Jewelry shop which was opening and the designs where wonderful, Art Nouveau plus my all time favourite, Art Deco :joyful: To cut a long story short, I did two days, met the owner on the 2nd day, I had 2 hypo there, tested and treated, back to work and that night at 10.41pm I received a text from the owner, basically saying, thanks, but no thanks, you are not really wanted. So, I am unemployed and looking hard for jobs, I never thought I would be in this position at 60 ! :(
I have been in touch with Diabetes UK and their Advocacy Service and talked to Acas too.

Between 4 and 5 before bed?
At the moment have a soft spot for an apple and peanut butter ( also food of the gods ) . This keeps me flat ( ish ) through the night.

Apparently my first attempt at this post failed. Apparently I was wrong:)

@Robinredbreast . Strangely we were only talking about Christmas drinks from years gone by at work yesterday.
Snowballs in the green bottle, nowhere near as good as a homemade snowball.
Cherry B. We agreed .....yuk.....:)
Babycham. One for the ladies.
At this point we wandered....
Gold Label, Mackeson, Mann’s brown ale, Newcastle brown, Guinness all got a mention. All were biggish sellers in the old working men’s clubs of yester year:):):)
