Good morning, I'm 11.2  and drinking tea, in my dressing gown

Guess that will be the fall out from the spag boll? Does that to me sometimes but I tend to split dose and even if I'm running 4's at bed time I will drop 1 to 1.5 units in just try catch the spike :)

Morning running round the 6.0 at the moment......not bad.

Happy Valentines day and yes I got some M&S (not just any chocolate but M&S chocolate) Belgian Truffle with flaky chocolate on it.

Basically a truffle wrapped up with the left over stuff from the floor when they make Flakes :hilarious: still taste rrrraaattthhheeeerrrrr nice :joyful:

I think it might of been the Lindt chocolates  as there was more Bol than Spag lol So a small correction this morning as I don't want to go hypo. M&S chocolate is good, but my favourite is Lindt praline:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:
Have a great day.

oh it's valentines day?!?!..........no wonder she wasn't speaking to me this morning!......................

Mel, I'm sorry but if a 12 yr old said that to me I'd loose my professionalism(if I actually had any!) and smack them back into last week and beyond - what is wrong with people(kids) these days?!

woke at 4am to a 3.2, 3 glucotabs and 6.7 before breakfast so 2 probably would have done. I pushed the boundaries yesterday with a breakfast of Frosties - pre-boluses a bit earlier than usual and I don't usually have Frosties but the libre graph ended up looking like a stalagmite, tried it again this morning, having part of my bolus before taking the dog out for a short walk and then having brekkie - yeap you guess it another perfectly formed stalagmite............with this diabetes lark we all know two days are NEVER the SAME ...........................except when it goes wrong!

Happy Valentines day all :)

I have some chocolate heart shaped brownies here if anyone needs some yummy chocolate love - went into production last night to spread a bit of love around so some of gone to school for daughter's mates, neighbour's having some as she's just ditched her bloke and a few of the kids that live around us will get one too, I had half of one last night and did a guestimate bolus and managed to stay below 9, obviously had to try them to make sure they weren't poisonous !! :hilarious:

Slip of the spoon there with the Frosties @slip? Aren't they nearly 100% sugar??
Teachers need magic wands, I reckon. Suspension for the student would meant being levitated three foot off the floor in the corner of the room in a soundproof vortex!!

Sugar nah, 100% kryptonite I reckon!

Edited to add: just looked them up Kelloggs per 100g is 87g carbs of which 37g are sugar, now we're not that posh so have tescos own, which are 88g of carbs of which 28.5g are sugar - no mention of kyptonite though

Thank you @slip! In Oz the sugar is 41 g/100g and I think in both countries, Kellogg's labelled Frosties as "adult cereal' to get around the limits on sugar content imposed on children's cereals.
In Oz a company called Choice regularly investigates all sorts of products and in their recommendations (? from where) breakfast cereals should be less than 15 g sugars /100g for children.
Far be it for me to decide who fits into the category of child, but the my inner child does take over sometimes !!

Frosties is my goto cereal. The misses bought Krave on the weekend, its nice but gotta have REALLY small portion of it. If no Frosties then its Crunchy Nut. @slip there has to be kryptonite in there somewhere

Ha! @porl69 , see what your pump can and cannot do with the Frosties!!

Not tried Frosties but cornflakes spike me like crazy- weigh portion, prebolus andot sill goes wrong!

I don't eat cereal. I think it has something to do with not liking soggy food. As a kid, I would occasionally have dry cornflakes but mostly had toast (without butter). Now my brekkie is usually fruit and/or yoghurt.

Did another post just go awry?
I saw (and responded to) a "General Question" asking to how to reduce cholesterol. But it disappeared. I didn't think it was controversial.
The op deleted it themselves - who knows why...

Afternoon! Not been called anything especially nasty yet today, just had to have the one pupil removed for drawing willies in animation class. They weren’t even very good ones. Some horror fifteen/sixteen year olds for my last lesson...

And Happy V Day, I lurched downstairs at sparrow fart o’clock to find a brown paper bag in with some lovely sheepskin insoles for my work boots (I wear DMs for teaching and first responder duty) as I’m on my feet all day. Plus an embroidered Star Wars card ❤️❤️❤️ Thoughtful husbeast! I bought him a bottle of Jura, which he will be honour bound to share with me. I’d call that a win:win ;)

BGs have been ok, once the foot on the floor surge died down. Currently at 4.5 so quite happy with that. Eggs and Quorn ham (don’t tell the anti fake meat brigade, don’t want lunching) for lunch should give me a gentle sustain for the afternoon from the protein with no bolus.

Breakfast for me is during winter, porridge, summer, granola or muesli maybe yoghurt and fruit. Occasionally toast and poached eggs. No matter what i have though I always get a huge spike usually up by around 5 points. I have tried everything, pre bolus, up to 45 mins, more insulin than maybe i should but makes no difference. About 2.5 hours after Brekkie I will have risen by about 5 points however by lunch normally back to normal levels
