My good news, I am going to get a Libre on June 27th, can't wait for that as I had a two week trial and I loved it. I started a new job as a School Escort for children with SEN and enjoying that very much.

Diabetes - BG's have been, :happy: :cool::bigtears::banghead: and :meh::rolleyes:

Happy Friday Cumbs :)
@Robinredbreast glad things are at last looking up for you after all the ‘trials and tribulations’ you’ve recently had.

My lovely daughter in law rang almost in tears because her tatt machines don't work well enough for her to do my tatt. She is saving up for new ones so that she can join a local studio (she is a very gifted artist).

Also - fingers crossed everyone for my son please. Not gonna say why in case I jinx it but oh please, let it all pan out the way he so desperately wants it to!

I know thanks juicy i would have had it sooner but nerves got the better of me

It's a new chapter in your life Karen, I know it's easy to say try not to be nervous, but it's a very exciting time so see if you can convert all your nerves to excitement ;) Take a note pad to write stuff down though, might be information overload, are they starting you on saline or insulin ?

I just love this one. She was adopted as a tiny, tiny little piglet weighing 7lb. They were told she was a dwarf pig! Now they own a farm and run it as an animal sanctuary but Esther (fully house-trained) still lives with them along with their pet dogs and cats. The book was such fun to read!

I fell in love with Esther's smile!

I think she's having an operation on her hoof at the moment (not sure if it already happened or is about to happen), so as you're busy crossing body parts anyway you might as well cross something for her too!

@Antje77 - I will! Esther is just so gorgeous - who could resist that smile? And yes, I'm wandering around with my legs, arms, fingers and toes crossed. I must look a little on the odd side, but given that I was nearly late this morning and grabbed the first shoes to hand (which I noticed in the car happen to have one vivid purple lace and one bright orange) - I've already had a look or two from the boss. I think he thinks I'm a very strange person .....

Late on parade today.. I'm blaming not having the Internet all morning as I've been getting some electrical work done. Has made working from home a tad difficult.

I now have one electrical socket moved to a usable place (it was poking out of a ceiling before :meh:) and an outside light which a) works and b) has a switch so can be turned off separately from flipping the downstairs light fuse.

I had a good night blood glucose wise but things have a gone a bit haywire this morning. As I wasn't driving first thing, I bolused for breakfast but forgot to add a mild correction. Trying to get it back down now before I consider lunch.

Very happy pig! All that’s missing is the clover.
Run out of things to cross for you all today, but a plea here for a bit of crossing for younger daughter - she’s putting in a job application. 20 years in the current place and time for a change, a big change!
Drowned rat weather here too @helensaramay, just a little more south than you are, so it’s time for cake, a delicious lemon ginger and turmeric one from a great cafe by the beach in Reculver. They not only welcome dogs there but raise money for guide dogs too. Great place for walkers when it’s not raining but cat not keen.
Bloods not bad today - may it continue smooth for all.
Good news this morning too from the lovely friend with the glioblastoma, no change detected so 3 months ahead for her without horrible chemo before the next checkup. Very cheerful!
Have a good day all!

Home from having my new small tattoo done. I love it, but I'm an easy bleeder and dreadful for bruising. At the moment I look more like poor Luke stamped on my hand than tattooed it. He's a lovely bloke - known him for years. The whole family work in the studio; it was opened by Dad a long, long time ago and now he's still there but has three sons and a daughter there too. They're all really good at their job and the place is absolutely immaculate.

In a few days I'll take a pic!
