Morning everyone, went a bit high yesterday afternoon/evening, after over correcting in both directions, and having a zig zag event. Blood sugar was ok overnight though.
On DP/footonthefloor, and all that stuff, I find, on a good day, my blood sugar rises a little during the night, around 3 am, and a bit more when I wake up, and have a first cup of coffee, but nothing unmanageable. Depending on how much it rises at any of those points, I will correct, which then feeds into decision making at the next stage. If I correct about 3 or 4 am I rarely need to correct for FOTF, so it depends. I always eat breakfast, because I like it, and I find mornings, now, reasonably stable, much more than pre-libre. The afternoons can be a bit wonky now, but that's mostly bad decision making on my part, and a bit of unpredictability.
Massively reducing the carbs I eat in the evening made my overnight blood sugar more stable, and fed into the morning readings too, I'm sure. I don't really eat an evening meal now, which is, I suppose, a bit anti-social, but until a certain person gets his act together I'll carry on like that.
Everyone is different, so have to find a way of managing things that works for them, but this is my experience.
None of this could have been done without Libre. I used to do 10 or 11 blood tests a day before, and didn't have anything like the full picture of what my blood sugar was doing during the day, that I have now. So I've adapted how I do things, to fit me, and to work better in terms of what seems to be going on. It's taken a while to get it anywhere close to right, and afternoons still aren't quite right.
