Type 1'stars R Us

Boris will change his mind this afternoon. I do sorta feel sorry for him, who would want to be in cg=harge of the country at this moment in time??
I suppose I feel a teeny bit sorry for him, just a teeny empathetic bit, but

@chris85 type 1, @kev-w said it all. I remember when @kimpossible was with us and she posted that she died overnight as her sensor had flatlined as she'd slept on it. I've never managed that, but a few ridiculously untrue readings.

Thanks @Marie 2 We're staying at home now and not going out. Luckily I bought the Guinness before we went away. 10g carbs in 355ml can.
Happy St David's Day everyone

Sorry to be pedantic. It's St Patrick's Day. St David's Day is March 1st. Excellent choice of drink to celebrate, though!

Absolutely devastated, been pulled off placement :( not just me, but the whole course - we’re on “directed study leave” whatever that means, until Easter. I don’t know if that means we have to log on for streamed lectures at a specific time, or do just do tasks set. Do I make myself available to do supply teaching in the meantime? I could do with the money! Popping over to the ambulance station tomorrow to take the cakes I baked with teenager today, get my timesheet and placement book signed off, and say thank you and goodnight.

But in other news, I have three months worth of both Omnipod pods and Dexcom sensors arriving tomorrow, but some odd coincidence. So that’s nice :)

Frustration and lack of info is a real..................... (add your adjective of choice) @LooperCat
Info from the government is as vague but that's no help. Stuffed!

Hello friends,

Work has been tiring - unfortunately one of the residents is very poorly. GP said virus but not what kind of virus. A few others and I are infected but I’ll keep an eye on things. It’s very sad, her family are going to see her soon because “end of life”. Things can change so quickly, last week she was lively and absolutely delighted to meet me. But since Monday, she has been quite poorly.

I haven’t been able to get my ratios right for my new job, so hypo city.

I think most schools will be closing soon too. Sorry you’ve had such a sudden and tough pause in your training! Maybe bake more cakes to sell as home deliveries? The current delivery services are apparently overwhelmed by new demands.

Morning all,
No badge day today.
Need fresh food and there's an open air market in town so I could walk there and back so little human contact. Exercise is good

Just don’t touch hands accidentally when the trader hands over the fruit and veg @SueJB. Be careful. And avoid the usual close crowd that gathers when waiting to be served. I wonder how many stalls will set up and how many people will shop there now.

Sorry to have sounded a bit doom and gloomy in the last post. Coffee in now and telephone consultation arranged for today’s annual Consultant appointment. What can possibly go wrong. Had a bit of a quiet Barney with the husband over whether the person who’s coming to get at all the dust raised by redoing the kitchen should still come. What would you do? Asking for a friend? my doppelgänger secret sharer maybe? I think I’ll be sitting in the garden with a book while they’re here so all anti-rain dances welcome.

Morning all, had a steady rise during the night oddly so woke to a 9 but now sitting at 6.7.

@SueJB for rush hour the town is pretty empty so I'd imagine you could get there even by public transport without getting anywhere near anybody!

Stay safe everyone.

Good morning Diabetnam!

My appointment with the endo yesterday...
What can I say about my prospective change of basal from lantus & Libres on repeat..

I'll let John spell it out...

Good morning y'all, still no wholemeal bread in Morrisons so I've a panini to eat with my porridge and poached egg with chilli :p and that's an extra 20g carbs, I'm running a little high still but feel fine, it's raining here so no window cleaning but I'll still do the gym.

Have a good one :)

I went to see the Sex Pistols at Blackwood Miners a LONG time ago. The warm up band played and then there was a pause, rather a long pause and people were getting edgy......a guy cam on stage and said "Ever feel like you've been had!" A room full of punk rockers went absolutely mental.....The Sex Pistols werr not even in the country lol
