Just come back from our walk in the woods, the good thing about living here is that you can walk in Country Parks, nature trails etc and hardly see another soul. It's even quieter in the Outer Hebrides I believe @debrasue but if you want peace and quiet you just have to come to the Scottish lowlands p.s stop off here and there's a cup of tea (wine) ready for you
On my way..... I can't stay longer than a week or two, though! :)

Pasta, sorry to me it's vile, yeuch lol (and full of nasty carbs)
Yes we have friends from the Midlands who holiday here. They always are surprised by how quiet the roads are, and even in towns how few people there are compared with where they live. We have a much smaller head per square mile population than England in general. Even our cities have lots of low-rise housing. It does mean that if you live in a village, as we do, you have lots of peace and quiet
Same here @13lizanne I live in a village between Loch Lomond and Glasgow. It's pretty small, few people and very quiet. Crime is non existent and there is still a community spirit. :)

I'm all mooched out right now

There's a nice market on in Carlisle and that has kept us occupied for a wee while

So far have resisted the temptation of KFC

Sounds idyllic.
We can't actually see our neighbours, but I can hear the call of at least 3 different species of Lesser Spotted Lawnmower around here this morning and further up the lane the Common Chainsaw seems to be clearing its throat in preparation for a love song or two.
If they keep it up, the Little Writer might be retreating back to its nest!

We live in a cave in rural Cumbria
Lucky to have running water
Apart from the usually rainy weather it's actually very scenic here and a 10-15 drive to Carlisle

Hmmm, I hadn't considered this point before, but I imagine it could be a bit hit and miss (although you'd have to be incredibly unlucky to miss as generous a target as mine! LOL) :joyful:

@debrasue , I do like and appreciate your sense of humour.
Sending you a ton of patience to help you deal with hubby (if that doesn't work I can send a rope and a gag, before trying other more drastic measures).

DSN pointed out all the places I could inject and the bot was one of them lol

I tried upper arms as well but did not like it and the bot was just ridiculous even when using a mirror to try and help lol

Thanks Karen - in fact I've already got a rope and shovel ordered on eBay!

Unkind people, failure to take personal responsibility.
